4.5 “Some kind of wonderful” stars!

Fate gives us chances, but we’re the ones who have to take them.

Who is Max Monroe? A duo of secret romance writers who have definitely caught my attention. They have delivered a hilariously sweet and steamy romance that will have you laughing, swooning, and falling in love from the beginning. With Tapping the billionaire, Max Monroe has quickly solidified a place on my “authors to stalk” list and I can not wait to read more from the talented duo.

Kline Brooks is cocky, confident, successful, and gorgeous and he knows it. He is well versed in the female anatomy and loves to make woman scream. But he’s not the manwhore you may be picturing. He is a gentleman, likes monogamy, and will definitely woo a woman. He runs a successful company, Brooks Media, and has an online dating app called TapNext. He is committed to making it the best it can be and encourages his employees to test it out and offer feedback.

Georgia Cummings is beautiful, funny, awkward, and smart, and is the Director of Marketing for Kline’s company. She has a great personality that everyone can’t help but love. For two years she has worked for him and only now has she somehow peaked his interest.

I don’t know how I missed her.
I don’t know why it took me so long to
really see her.

No matter the reason, it only took one spur-of-the-minute decision for this remarkable woman to come barreling into my world.
I wasn’t prepared for her.
And I sure as hell had no idea she’d knock me on my fucking ass.

One date was all it took for Georgia and Kline to realize what was missing in their life. They can’t deny the intense passionate connection they have and from a hilarious first date to several steamy scenes later, you can’t help but fall in love right along with them. The more they get to know each other, the more Georgia realizes that she had him pegged all wrong.

He wasn’t Mr. Brooks anymore. He was Kline, the man I wanted to take a real chance on. It shocked me how little time it took to recognize the difference.

Tapping the Billionaire is a romance between boss and  employee, and I love this trope and was pleasantly surprised that Tapping the Billionaire was so much more than that. The passionate relationship between Georgia and Kline made me giddy and I loved that though they jumped right in, they still thought about how to handle it at work. Relationships between co-workers don’t always end well when things don’t go according to plan, and things start getting complicated when Georgia and Kline withhold information from each other. You knew something was going to occur to derail their love and it was like a train wreck waiting to happen. You expected it to blow up in their faces, you just didn’t know how it would play out. When everything went downhill, I needed to know the ending immediately and I did not put this book down until the very last page when I finished the epilogue with a huge smile on my face.

I absolutely loved this book. The characters are fun and relatable and their chemistry is off the charts. The fantastic banter is steamy and playful, and the sexy time was HOT! Georgia and Kline were fantastic together and I loved watching their love story play out.

Kline was totally swoontastic and had me melting right along side Georgia. He was thoughtful, treated her with care, and was perfect for her in every way. I loved that he wasn’t just another manwhore looking for a one-night stand. His feelings were genuine and honest, and I loved that when he started really feeling something for Georgia, he went all in.

My heart in your hands and you in my arms, that’s all I’ll ever need.

I also loved that even though Kline had billions, he was still down to earth and didn’t flaunt his money. He enjoyed doing things like strolling in the park and people watching and did not focus on his money.

I loved Georgia and her fun personality. She was a beautiful, awkward heroine who was instantly likable and relatable. I liked that she did not shy away from the attraction she felt for Kline and was willing to explore things between them instead of pushing him away because he was her boss.

The secondary characters added so much to the story as well. I loved Cassie and her friendship with Georgia. She was there to support Georgia when she needed her most and would never let her down. Thatch was a great side character too. I loved that he was loyal to Kline and the end of the book left me eager to get my hands on his and Cassie’s book!

This book is seriously funny. From the football play by play she relayed to Kline and Thatch, to the awkward but sweet first date, the whole book had me laughing out loud. I loved how light and fresh this book was in the beginning as Georgia and Kline got to know each other. I also loved that the authors were able to create the right amount of angst that left me flipping pages to get to the end. The epilogue ended the story in a wonderful spot and I can’t wait for more of Kline and Georgia! Up next….Tapping Her!
