Hitched: Volume One by Kendall Ryan is a quick, entertaining read that will have you reaching for the next book once you finish part 1. It’s the first book the the three part serial about Noah and Olivia and a great start to the series.

Years ago, Noah Tate and Olivia Cane almost had a thing, and since then, Olivia has given Noah the cold shoulder. This puts a kink in the contract that Noah and Olivia’s fathers drew up in their will. When they pass away, Noah and Olivia each stand to inherite fifty percent of their company, Tate & Cane Enterprises, but only if they are legally married. With Noah’s father already gone and Olivia’s father’s health going downhill quickly, it seems this contract needs to be accepted sooner than later.

Noah has worked hard for his money and would do anything for the company. He doesn’t question this unity, especially since Olivia is the woman he’s always wanted, and is ready to sign on the dotted line. Olivia has a differing opinion on the matter though and does not make things easy.

Both after the same thing – to save the company – it seems the only way to make it happen is to sign the contract. But Olivia isn’t ready to give in easily. She has a set of rules and wants a sort of “trial period” to see if they can be both partners in business as well as in their personal life.

“I’ll sign the inheritance contract at the end of the month . . .”
“But only,” I continue, “if Noah can show me that a relationship between us could work. After all, Tate & Cane’s fate hinges on our ability to cooperate as both business partners and spouses.”
“A trial period?” Dad asks.
“You could describe it like that. I also think that getting to know each other better will help the company’s public image. We need to make our relationship believable; it’ll look strange if nobody ever sees us together before we marry.”

“So, essentially, you’re asking me to date you.”
I nod at him. “Yep, that’s the idea. At least take me out for a drink before I consider taking your name.” I look straight at him, waiting to see his reaction before I hit him with my next clause. “Oh, and another thing. Refrain from having sex . . . with anyone.”

Determined to keep it platonic, she tries to resist Noah as he turns up the charm. But sticking to the rules is hard when Noah turns her on like no other. Over time the sexual tension intensifies and you know something has to give. The moments where they actually let loose are steamy, but leave you wanting more. As they grow closer, they begin to trust and support each other and it’s a solid beginning to a friendship.

They bicker back and forth and it’s funny to watch Noah try to turn their relationship physical. Olivia fights her desires and tries to convince herself what a marriage to Noah is – a business deal.

Noah first comes across as a cocky manwhore but we soon see he is so much more. He is smart, sexy, charming, and witty. I loved how sweet he could be to Olivia. He is used to sleeping around and taking advantage of his ability to charm the panties off of woman but after Olivia sets the rules, he automatically stops fooling around. He has wanted Olivia since they were younger and is willing to do what it takes to make this relationship work. He is also caring and has a huge heart. I loved his relationship with Rosita and his drive to help the company.

I loved that Olivia is a smart, hardworking woman determined to save the company. She is attracted to Noah but doesn’t just jump in bed with him. It is comical seeing her fight the pull she feels toward Noah especially when he doesn’t back down. She needs to decide if she can put her fairytale dreams aside for the future of Tate & Cane and try to make a relationship work.

Does that mean I have to let go of my dream of falling madly in love someday?

With the deadline looming, what will the decision be? Will Olivia and Noah say I Do?

Hitched: Volume One ends with a cliffy and this quick fun read will have you jumping right into Hitched, Volume Two to see what happens.
