EPIC, EPIC, EPIC!

This is the perfect ending to one of the most incredible UF series out there. It’s dark, broody, complex, intense, and beautifully poetic, and I absolutely adore it!

KMM’s world, and the characters who inhabit it, are incredible. Imaginative, surprising, terrifying, and darkly funny. The story twists and turns, with secrets revealed throughout, and no more than in this book as everything comes to its highly anticipated ending. I laughed, I cried, I swooned, and I fanned myself – repeatedly! I was also shocked and stunned at the revelations as they unfolded, but it all combines to create an epic reading experience.

“Some people bring out the worst in you, others bring out the best, and then there are those remarkably rare, addictive ones who just bring out the most. Of everything.
They make you feel so alive that you’d follow them straight into hell, just to keep getting your fix.”

The slow burn of the ‘romance’ (if you can call it that) through five books has been excruciatingly painful, but it builds in intensity like nothing else I’ve read. The chemistry and banter is flawless – dark, violent and raw, and absolutely fitting to the tone of the books and the characters. The uniqueness of the pairing, and the road to get there, is perfection, and this book makes every moment of agonizing anticipation absolutely worth the wait.

He looked at me and I shivered. I never get enough of him. Never will.
He lives.
I breathe.
I want. Him.
Always.
Fire to my ice. Ice to my fever.

Even on my reread, this series kept me on the edge of my seat as I followed Mac’s incredible journey, and I can’t say a word about the story because anything I say at this point will be a spoiler. Just pick up Darkfever, strap yourself in, and start reading.

Absolutely phenomenal.

6 massive stars.
