From the New York Times bestselling authors of Stuck-Up Suit and Cocky Bastard, comes a sexy new standalone novel.

Money or love? Which would you choose?

You probably just answered the question in your head thinking it’s an easy decision.

For me, it’s not. Did I mention it’s a lot of money? A hell of a lot.

I needed to go far away to think it through.

As I embarked on an impulsive trip, I hit a detour when I met sexy Carter in the airport lounge. We struck up a heated conversation.

Then, he left.

I thought I’d never see him again.

But fate had other plans.

Surprise! He was the pilot of my flight.

The bigger surprise was the adventure that followed after the plane landed.

Carter was dangerous and always on the move.

Even though our connection was magnetic, I knew it was only temporary.

He would give me tickets, and I would follow him around the world to exotic places.

A bevy of flight attendant exes and rumors about Carter’s reputation were never far behind.

I didn’t know what to believe.

But I was addicted. Nothing else mattered anymore. And I was going to get hurt. Because a part of me wanted to be the one to finally ground the playboy pilot.

At the very least, he was taking me on a thrilling ride.

All good things must come to an end, right?

Except our ending was one I didn’t see coming.

Review

Funny, sweet and sexy, a little bit dirty and a whole lot swoony, this is a great read! A true romantic whirlwind – a breathtakingly intense romance that develops as the story takes us from Rio to Dubai to Amsterdam to Florida, and the skies in between.

“Come fly with me, beautiful.”

Kendall Sparks is feeling lost. She is facing a life-changing decision with no idea which option to choose, so she’s at the airport with plans to fly ‘somewhere’ to escape her life for a while and figure out what to do. She’s considering her possible destinations when she meets sexy, charismatic and infinitely cocky Carter Clyne in an airport bar. They share sizzling chemistry and flirty (and dirty) banter before Carter has to head off to work, suggesting that Rio would be her best choice. It’s not until she is settled on the plane that she hears the pilot’s voice and discovers it’s Carter, and that he’s essentially invited her to join him on his layover in the vibrant city.

My layover just got more interesting.

Carter’s fun, dirty and flirty nature, combined with his complete openness, fascinates Kendall and she finds herself completely under his spell as he takes her under his wing. He shows her fun and freedom, encouraging her open up to him, and amidst much laughter, adventure, deep conversations and soul searching, she begins to see a side of Carter that takes her by surprise – he is more than just the cocky manwhore that she thought him to be. And on Carter’s side, his mad lust for Kendall starts to morph into more as the uptight woman starts to let loose. And they begin to develop a deep connection that neither of them are prepared to ignore.

Remind me why we just said goodbye?

Because for the life of me, I can’t think of one damn good reason.

What would you say if I told you I wasn’t ready to let you go just yet?

The sexual tension between Kendall and Carter is absolutely sizzling. They want each other badly (with all of the smutty thoughts and behaviour that go along with that), but neither of them are prepared to jump straight into bed, and along with building delicious sexual tension, it gives them time to develop true feelings which makes everything more meaningful. It’s not insta-love, though it is pretty quick moving – but their time together is intense and they are pretty much constantly together so it didn’t bother me. I found it to be realistic and was easily swept away by all of the swoon. And I love that they experience the connection they do and they don’t shy away from it. They talk about it, they follow their hearts and they don’t hide anything from each other. It’s funny, flirtatious and so freaking swoony, and I loved it!

“We’re both fucked up. Maybe that’s what it is. Maybe we see a little of ourselves in each other. We’re two wrongs that somehow make a right. Inseparable we’re miserable, but together… we somehow work.

And Carter… wow, the man is just fantastic! Confident, cocky, charming, funny, sassy as all hell, but OMG, what a sweetheart! He has his own demons, but he doesn’t let that hold him back. He wants Kendall and he goes for it, and he totally stole my heart!

“Stay in the moment with me, Kendall.”

And more than a wonderful romantic hero, he’s also sexy as all hell, and his inner monologue, dirty mouth and constant obsessing about all things smutty were both hot and laugh-out-loud-funny. His antics are so entertaining, and his completely unapologetic nature just adds to his charm.

“Carter? What are you doing?”
Shit.
I laughed under my breath and banged the back of my head against the wood. “Praying?”
“Do you always breathe like that when you’re praying?”
“It’s an intense prayer.”
“What are you really doing?”
“I think you might know what I’m really doing, Kendall.”

LMAO!

The first half of this book was totally 5 stars. It was fun, playful, sexy and sweet, and I loved every single moment of it. But I felt like the momentum kind of slowed down a bit in the second part of the story, and as much as I love Carter, it seemed like the authors were trying to make him a little bit ‘too’ perfect. And then there is the conflict… ugh. While it fit well with the overall plotline and I loved the shock factor, it was handled really badly.

Spoiler
Seriously, I was so disappointed with Kendall, and it broke my heart even more because Carter is so freaking amazing through everything!!
But the story does end well, with a sweet (if somewhat cheesy) epilogue.

So yeah, I admit I felt a little let down by the events towards the end, but the beginning of this book and the strength of the love story carried me through, and I did love it. I can’t wait for whatever these two authors cook up next.

“Half of the people in the world will tell you to follow your head, half will tell you to follow your heart. My advice, follow the one that isn’t confused. The stronger one will eventually convince the other to fall in line.”

4 stars.

“Can I come in?”

Still fully erect, I tucked my cock back into my pants as best I could before opening the door.

Her eyes trailed down to my massive erection. “I’m sorry….to make you resort to that.”

“It’s okay. My hand and I haven’t spent time like this since I was a teenager. I think he missed me.”

“What were you thinking about?”

“You.”

“Yeah…but what specifically?”

“It was this fantasy of fucking you on the dance floor back at the club.”

She looked down at me again. Her expression was serious when she asked, “You need some help?”

“I thought you said we weren’t going to go there.”

“I can’t have sex with you. But I want to touch you. I could take my clothes off, let you finish what you started. You know…help you.”

Looking up at the ceiling, I shook my head. “You have no fucking clue, do you?”

“What do you mean?”

“How crazy you make me. There’s no halfway with you. Jerking off with your naked body right in front of me…not being able to do what I really want to you…would be torture. I don’t have that kind of willpower, not with you, not anymore. Even when I kiss you, all I can think about is burying myself inside of you. But you naked in front of me? Too much, Kendall. When you strip down for me, I want it to be when you’re ready to let me have you. Otherwise, it’s better if I don’t know what I’m missing out on.”

Looking filled with remorse, she waved her hands. “Okay. I get it. I’m sorry…for interrupting.”

“Go back to bed. I’ll be right there.”

After Kendall left, I closed my eyes in regret. Was I crazy for turning her away like that?

Now that she knew what I was up to in here, I couldn’t relax. Still needing release like a motherfucker, I turned on the shower and got in. Ironically, I jerked myself to thoughts of her naked body against the bathroom door and imagined she was watching me.

Fuck my life.
