Blurb

Randy Ballistic and Lily LeBlanc are head-over-heels, bed-breakingly, screaming orgasmically in love. But even they have their challenges, mostly outside of the bedroom.

With the off-season coming to a close and the boys gearing up for training camp, one more weekend of fun is the perfect way to welcome the new season.

The entire crew piles into vehicles and drives to Alex and Violet’s Chicago cottage for a few days of relaxation―and hopefully a chance for Randy to shake the anxiety that’s been plaguing him.

Accidental wardrobe malfunctions, typical Violet inspired overshares, and a whole lot of private time round out the perfect weekend getaway.

But the moment they return to the city all of Randy’s angst resurfaces with the arrival of a surprise houseguest.

Review

4.5 stars!

“Loving you is the best choice I ever made.”

Pucked by Helena Hunting was a fantastic addition to Randy and Lily’s story. I loved getting a deeper look into their relationship and I loved everything I saw. Helena adds so much depth to her romantic comedies, giving us heartfelt stories along with the laughs. This book is no different and I loved it! It has everything- the sweet and swoony moments, the steamy and sexy interactions, the funny and awkward scenes, and even some serious situations. It’s a fast paced read that will have you uncontrollably flipping pages.

In Pucked Under, we are back in the world of the hockey with Randy, Alex, Miller and their loves, Lily, Violet, and Sunny. The off-season is coming to an end so the whole gang decides to take one last trip to Alex’s Chicago cottage. They have the best intentions to spend time together but they also know that since this is one of the last weekends before training begins, the couples will be spending much of the time locked in their own rooms. No one is looking forward to be separated from their significant others when the season starts, and we see this most though Randy’s eyes as he navigates his relationship with Lily now that it has a label.

Randy still getting used to their “official” status while Lily is coming to terms with what it means to be in a relationship with a celebrity. All seems great from the outside but Lily knows something is going on with Randy. It doesn’t help that an unexpected visitor arrives and things seem to get even more stressful. Can Lily and Randy overcome the new challenges that they are faced with?

I absolutely adore Randy and Lily. They may even be my favorite couple! They are fantastic together and their relationship is solid. Their love is as intense as it was in the beginning and they still feel like horny teenagers and can’t get enough of each other. I loved that they are open and honest with each other and the relationship works so well. They really are perfect for each other.

Randy remains one of my favorite characters in the series. He is such a great boyfriend even when he has trouble realizing it. I loved his honesty and his openness about what was troubling him. He is still as generous inside and outside the bedroom as he has always been, and I love how sweet and gentle he is with Lily. His protectiveness made me swoon and I thought his caveman antics were hilarious, their interactions had me laughing out loud.

“Only I see you naked,” Randy barks.
I snicker-snort. Sometimes Randy can be so very irrationally male.
He stalks forward to loom over me. “You think that’s funny?”
“Someone else seeing me naked? No, I don’t think that’s funny at all. Your reaction to the unlikely possibility is, though. When we get to Alex’s cottage, should be put you in a loincloth? We’ll rename you a random sound, and you can club me over the head and drag me into the forest. We’ll live in a cave, and you can battle bears to entertain me.”

Lily was wonderful as always. I loved how supportive she was and how she knew exactly what Randy needed. She stuck by him and put his needs above her own even when it would have been easier to walk away from the drama. I love how she talks to him, helps him work through the issues that arise in their relationship, and is there for him when his insecurities start to get the best of him. There is no better woman than Lily for Randy. I enjoyed every single part of Randy and Lily’s story and I want more!!

“You’re one-hundred-percent real, and you’re all mine.”

I loved seeing the rest of the gang too. Sunny and Miller, and Violet and Alex all played a great part in this book. After reading their stories in the previous books, I loved getting more insight into their lives and seeing what these hilarious characters are up to. I enjoyed Charlene and Darren as well and I really want their book because I need to know how their relationship works. The more I learn about Lance, the more intrigued I am with him, and I want to see Lance end up with a wonderful woman who makes him happy.

Overall this novella left me with a huge grin on my face and even more in love with Randy and Lily. I cannot wait to see what else Helena Hunting has up her sleeve when it comes to the Pucked clan!!
