Blurb

What’s ice-cold but hotter than hell? Rebounding with your ex’s older brother, of course.

A perfect storm led me to this place. Ghosted by my fiancé, I was suddenly broke, heartbroken and facing eviction. Enter Mason Leo, the six feet and two inches of pure muscle and arrogance I’ve hated with a passion since the day we met. The man is cocky, womanizing and ruinously gorgeous.

Worse than that, he’s my ex’s brother. And for the next two weeks, he gets to do with me as he pleases.

I’ll explain.

With both our exes – wait for it – set to marry each other in St. Lucia, I’ve agreed to let Mason pay my debts so long as I play his date. My only job is to keep my clothes on while I get my closure. Because as much as I hate Mason Leo, the man is a walking sex god. And in the name of revenge, he gets to take me out, show me off – dress, touch and kiss me with those wicked lips. It’s all for show, but every night in  paradise with him brings more drinks, more drama and another temptation, so no matter what I do, I can’t stop reminding myself this:

There’s absolutely no good to come from f*cking my ex’s brother.

No matter how good it’ll feel.

**EX GAMES is a sexy, full-length standalone with a HEA**

Review

4.5 fun and sexy stars!

An enemies-to-lovers, fake romance set up – with her ex’s big brother! I saw the blurb for this book and knew I had to read it, and wow, what a great read! The sexual tension is insane, the chemistry between the characters is evident from the very start, but the romance is a slow burn that builds deliciously. It’s fun and sexy, and I loved it!

Taylor got the surprise of her life when her fiancé, Aaron, dumped her without warning via letter, leaving her with an apartment she can’t afford and wedding cancellation bills piling up around her. Surprise number two comes when her Aaron’s older brother, Mason, rocks up on her doorstep. Taylor and Mason have never been friendly, and despite the fact that Mason is the gorgeous, successful and rich brother, he’s a slutty playboy and Taylor has never liked him. But his visit is to announce that Aaron is getting married in two weeks – to Mason’s ex-girlfriend of all people. Mason’s ex is toxic, and he wants his brother away from her, so he proposes a plan where he and Taylor fake being in a relationship in order to entice Aaron to break up with his new fiancée – and if Taylor gets epic revenge from the situation, so much the better. And with Mason offering to help pay off Taylor’s debts for her trouble, she can’t say no.

And so begins their sexually charged, banter-filled arrangement.

“Any other issues?”
“Minor concerns about how you’ll fake being a devoted boyfriend when you’ve never been one in real life.”
“I imagine the same way you’ll fake being a girlfriend who isn’t completely vanilla and devoid of passion.”
I glared. “What the hell is that supposed to mean?”
Mason grinned. “Apparently that you can dish it but not take it.”

I love fake relationships, and this one is fantastic! The hot glances, hotter touches and sensational banter and flirting are so much fun and had me squeeing with excitement as each interaction between becomes more and more charged.

“I’m going to need you to do something besides the deer in headlights look. You’re giving everyone the impression that I brought you here at gunpoint.”
I rolled my eyes. “You’re sweet.”
“Seriously. Looking even moderately enthused will do.”
“Yeah, duly noted. How could I say no to such a sweet and sensitive boyfriend?”
Mason smirked… “I didn’t realize sweet and sensitive was what you wanted.”
“I think that’s what most girlfriends want, but I understand that you wouldn’t know that,” I replied, averting my eyes as Mason watched me gather my hair over one shoulder.
“Duly noted. If that’s what works with you, then here.” One step forward and Mason was suddenly inches from me. The breath hitched in my throat as he locked his gaze on mine.
Shit.

OMG, Mason is SO freaking hot! Almost every word out of his mouth, and every smooth move just drips with sexy. The UST between the two of them is fantastic and I could feel the anticipation build as his and Taylor’s animosity turns to mad lust, fun and dirty teasing, and slowly emerging feelings.

“What else can I do to show them you’re not just a fling?
I bit my lip, glancing around to confirm a few curious eyes before looking back at Mason. “I don’t know. Look at me like you’re smitten.”
Mason smirked but when he spoke, his voice was low and sober. “Easy,” he said, reaching to push a stray blonde lock behind my ear.

I could feel every single shift that occurs between Taylor and Mason, and I revelled in it as their feelings for each other grow, and the sexual tension is insane!

“I’m not trying to fuck you. Don’t get me wrong, I want to. I’ve wanted to for a long goddamned while and I’ve pictured in you in bed more times than you want to imagine but trust me, if I was trying go fuck you, Taylor, you’d know it.”

This book is all kinds of hot, but it’s not a situation where they jump into bed together. The anticipation builds, and real feelings develop as they process everything that is happening between them, and when it finally does…. holy damn!

My lip quivered as he hooked a finger into my panties. “Say the word and I’ll give you every pleasure Aaron never came close to giving you. I’ll make your pussy wetter than it’s ever been in your life.”
My pulse was hammering, my breaths shaky as a result. But I forced myself to speak. “Do it.”

*fans self*

And as the wedding date approaches ,the reason that brought them together starts to become less of a driving force for them to be together. So what’s going to happen when they finally come face to face with their past lovers? And will they be strong enough to handle the fall out?

I really loved this book. It was such a fun read that had me captivated from start to finish. I love Taylor and Mason as individual characters and I together they are on fire. Their connection is clear from the very beginning and watching everything shift between them as they came to accept their deepening feelings, and then act on them, was absolutely fantastic.

This is my first book by Stella Rhys, and I was really impressed. I love her writing – it was sharp, easy to read, fun yet emotive and I’m looking forward to checking out more of her work.

4.5 stars.
