4.5 stars!!

Another Billionaire Bad Boy? Yes please! Max Monroe got me hooked with Tapping the Billionaire, the first book in the series, and my love for this series is still going strong. Kline and Georgia caught my attention. Thatch and Cassie made me fall harder. And Wes and Winnie…they are the icing on the cake.

Wes Lancaster likes control and being in charge. He likes the time, travel, possessions and women that money brings even if he doesn’t pay close attention to the numbers. He is actively involved in his jobs, especially his ownership of the New York Mavericks. But there’s a new reason for him to come to work: Winnie Winslow.

Winnie has been working as the team physician for six months and she loves it. She is hardworking and determined to support her and her daughter, Lexi. She doesn’t mind the hours and loves the people she works with. It doesn’t hurt that Wes is some fine eye candy either. But he’s the boss, so he’s off limits…she can still look though, right?

Wes and Winnie are drawn to each other but neither will do anything about it. Wes has made it clear that he doesn’t want to get involved with a woman who has a child, and Winnie definitely falls into that category. However, with all the time they spend together, Winnie is somehow slowly changing Wes. He’s addicted to her and can’t get her out of his mind.

I’d hired her as the team physician, but she’d just as quickly become my obsession, my weakness, and my distraction.

The sexual tension is thick and I knew Winnie and Wes couldn’t keep their hands off of each other for much longer. When they finally gave in, it was intense, unstoppable, and steamy!

We were a thunderstorm of pent-up emotion, and our lips and tongues and teeth were lightning bolts shocking each other into the passionate depths neither of us could refute.

No relationship is perfect though and soon Wes and Winnie find everything on the rocks. Can they work things out or was the relationship doomed from the start?

Scoring the Billionaire is another Max Monroe hit! I adored everything about this story. Wes and Winnie are fantastic together. They make you smile with their easy banter, fun interactions, and addictive love. They steam up the pages and make you blush. They fit perfectly together and were exactly what the other needed even if at first they didn’t realize it.

I loved getting inside Wes’ head. The back and forth pull Winnie had on him made me giggle. He wanted her but didn’t want her at the same time and it made me smile when he discovered that once she got under his skin there was no letting go. I loved watched him realize his feeling for Winnie and also his feelings toward her daughter. OMG, Wes with Lexi…SWOON!! And just like Winnie, I loved all versions of Wes.

Prolonged attraction and downright affection for a specific woman and some newfound tolerance for kids? Honestly, I was really nothing more than a big ol’ bag of what the fuck these days.

I adored Winnie. I loved that she was a smart, determined woman who spoke her mind. She was hardworking and a fantastic mother. She was selfless and considered her daughter and her needs and put her above everything else. The fact that she was willing to give Wes a chance and went all in when she realized her feelings was refreshing.

What had started under the assumption that a few romps would be the perfect solution for getting him out of my system had turned into an obsession. I was starting to crave him like a drug, spending all my time from one fix to the next trying to figure out how to make it happen again.

I loved how strong she was and how fiercely she loved. Her relationship with her six-year old daughter, warmed my heart and I loved her closeness with her brothers.

And Lexi. Sweet Lexi. She was such a great character. She is so smart and perfectly adorable. I loved that she was herself and loved the effect she had on Wes. I saw the challenges she faced and how she handled situations. I loved the person she was, inside and out.

Of course, I loved that we get to see more of Kline, Georgia, Thatch, and Cassie. I continue to love everything from this awesome group of friends.

Overall, Scoring the Billionaire was another fantastic addition to the Billionaire Bad Boys series. The passionate love stories, smokin’ hot connections, crazy friends, overly protective families, and hilarious moments make this series great. I can’t wait to dive into Scoring Her!!

I was officially in love – with our newly formed “we.”
