5 sensational stars!!!

God, I love this series!!! When I started it I will admit that I was upset about the Vampire Academy rip-off aspect, but it’s taken a definite turn now, and even through the world is similar, it’s got a unique storyline and the magic Armentrout touch.

This book picks up right where book 2 – Pure – finishes and dives straight into the action. I’m not going to go into details because pretty much anything I say is going to be a spoiler. What I will say is that this book met every hope that I had for it, and then gave me more. Holy gods! It had action, humour, some massive OMG moments and so many twists and plots unfolding that I was mesmerised from start to finish. And finally, it had swoon. OMG was there swoon. And it was freaking AWESOME!!! Absolutely worth the wait!

“I can’t keep pretending that I don’t want this – that I don’t want you. I can’t. Not after what happened to you. I thought… I thought I’d lost you … forever. And I would’ve lost everything. You are my everything.”

SQUEEEEEEEEE!!! SO. MUCH. WIN!!!

Alex , Aiden and Seth are brilliant as always, and the boys are right by Alex’s side as she is poised to become the next Apollyon, and tries desperately to figure out what that is going to mean for her and for those that she loves.

Amidst political wrangling, murder attempts, furie attacks and the gods appearing on earth for epic smackdowns, feelings are revealed, family bonds are tightened and true motivations are uncovered in the ultimate betrayal. The big climax had me on the edge of my seat, my legs were bouncing, and my hand was over my mouth as I swore… loudly. It was MASSIVE! And the excitement kept up right to the ending that had me swearing yet again before ending on a hideously cruel cliffhanger. Who finishes a book like that? Seriously!

Yet again Armentrout leaves me hanging on another of her deliciously addictive series. AND I LOVE IT!!!! I cannot WAIT to get my hands on more!
