A new standalone romance from Wall Street Journal Bestselling Author Ilsa Madden-Mills…

They say nothing compares to your first kiss,

But our first kiss was orchestrated for an audience.

Our second kiss…that one was REAL,

He cradled my face like he was terrified he’d f*ck it up.

He stared into my eyes until the air buzzed.

Soft and slow, full of sighs and little laughs,

He inhaled me like I was the finest Belgian chocolate,

And he’d never get another piece.

A nip of his teeth, his hand at my waist…

And I was lost.

I forgot he was paying me to be his fake fiancée.

I forgot we weren’t REAL.

Our kiss was pure magic, and before you laugh and say those kinds of kisses don’t exist…

Then you’ve never touched lips with Max Kent, the hottest quarterback in college history.

Three months. Two hearts. One fake engagement.

Get ready for breathtaking kisses and dreamy football players…

Review

4.5 “fated” stars!

No one crosses our path without a reason.

Fake Fiancée by Ilsa Madden-Mills is a fun, lighthearted read with a little bit of angst and mystery thrown into the mix. It’s the kind of story that can melt your heart and burn up the pages. The plot is enjoyable, the characters are well-developed, and the relationship sweet and sexy. It’s a fast-paced story that is sure to draw you.

When Sunny was seventeen, she was saved from an intense and scary situation. She didn’t know her hero but there was an immediate spark. A connection that was severed the moment she ran.

I wished…I wished fate would bring us together again, some other time, someother place.

Fast forward three years, Sunny is a student at Leland University. She recently broke up with her boyfriend, another failed relationship with an athlete cementing her decision to stay away from jocks.

Max is the star quarterback and caption of the Leland University’s football team. He is not the typical man whore that most of his teammates seem to be. His main focus is football and he doesn’t have time for a relationship but he also doesn’t want to screw around with groupies. He likes to know the women he sleeps with.

Then a situation occurs that puts Max in Sunny’s path and once they meet, their lives change completely. Both burned by people in the past, Max and Sunny are not looking forward to seeing their exes in class on the first day of school. Pretending they moved on, together, sounded like a good way to put some distance between them and their exes and so a fake relationship is born.

Being in a fake relationship should be easy when you are keeping things platonic. Neither want a relationship and both are getting something from the aggreement. However, the more time they spend together, the more their feelings grow making things a lot more complicated. Before long they can’t tell what’s fake and what’s real.

I really enjoyed Fake Fiancée. This engaging story had me flipping pages as fast as I could from the very beginning. The characters were fun, likable, and entertaining. Max was a swoony hero who was sweet and genuinely nice. I felt his emotions and thought they were believable. I only wished he figured out his priorities sooner.

I really liked Sunny and thought she was a breath of fresh air. She was smart, silly, and had a fun personality.

His hand touched my arm, lingering down to my wrist. My heart thundered. Good grief. I was as weak as a baby kitten.
I clenched my fists.
Keep your panties on, Sunny. Don’t. Fall. For. The. Quarterback.

She tried to fight the feelings she had for Max but sometimes the connection is just too strong and I loved when she accepted how she felt and took the next step.

I wanted to drown in him. I didn’t need air. All I needed was Max Kent and his lips and tongue.

Sunny and Max were great as a couple. The easy banter was hilarious, their connection undeniable, and the steam off the charts.  It was fun to watch them get to know each other and see a wonderful friendship form. Their relationship put a smile on my face and made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I loved watching them open up to each other and the trust they built. There are ups and downs when they are together but I liked the way things played out. Though their relationship began sweet, gentle, and innocent, it quickly cranked up the heat and I loved them together.

This story is more than just a romance, and it keeps you on your toes. Just as you feel like you have a grasp on what’s going to happen, things change. The plot takes turns that throw you completely off guard. I loved the mystery and the surprises. I loved the friendships and support systems. Overall, Fake Fiancée is another very enjoyable read by Ilsa Madden-Mills.

I didn’t understand the hows and whys of our meeting, but life isn’t nearly as complicated as we make it.
Sometimes there really is a bigger plan.
Sometimes there really is that
one person.
Sometimes true love finds you no matter what.
