Review

Filterless heroine meets a dirty talking hero = rude and crude hilarity and lotsa sexy time.

Short, sexy and lots of fun. I loved this one! 4 stars!

Meghan March writes smoking hot love stories that are super-intense, and she’s given us exactly that in this duet, but this book is also a lot of fun with lots of laugh-out-loud moments, with characters that you cannot help but love. This duet has loose ties to some of Meghan’s other series (Dirty Billionaire and Dirty Girl) but can absolutely be read as a standalone.

Banner Regent is a NYC party girl with a great apartment, a trust fund, and dreams of starting her own business. Logan Brantley is an ex-marine and now a mechanic who owns his own shop in small-town Kentucky. Two people whose lives should never have crossed became text buddies when Banner’s number ended up on Logan’s phone. It’s a ‘friendship’ that neither of them expected, but as their text conversations become more and more personal as Banner starts to unload about her dating woes, their interactions become more flirtatious. So, realising that he is starting to fall for the smart, sassy woman with the disastrous love life that he can’t stop thinking about, Logan decides it’s time he shows her what a ‘Real Good Man’ is.

Who knew a real good man would be so damn sexy?

OMG, I love this story! Banner and Logan’s chemistry is palpable and their openness with each other and the easiness between them is great to read. They have their ups and downs, but their story is not angsty or overly dramatic. It’s natural and full of fire and passion, and I was so entertained watching them figure themselves out and cave in to their irresistible attraction.

Logan’s just being himself, and somehow that’s the sexiest thing I’ve ever encountered in my life. And I want to ride him like a rodeo cowgirl on the back of a bull.

Banner and Logan are fantastic characters, and I love that this story is written in dual POV. Banner is freaking hilarious with her complete lack of filter and her rambly outbursts. And Logan is a great match for her with his filthy mouth and even filthier moves. They are so well matched, with wickedly entertaining banter, and watching them bounce off each other is so much fun! And their sexual compatibility is off the freaking charts – HOTNESS!!!

“I don’t like to be told what to do unless I’m naked.”

But can the country boy and the city girl from completely different worlds make it work long term? They can if Logan has anything to say about it.

“So, where do we go from here?”
I slow for a stop sign and meet her stare. “We’re going to get to know each other. I’m going to take you out on dates and show you what we’ve both been missing. You’re gonna fall in love with me, Banner. That’s where we’re going from here.”

I loved this book. It’s a quick read that is lots of fun and super steamy, and I can’t wait to read the rest of Banner and Logan’s story.

4 stars.
