From New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author Max Monroe comes a new, sexy, and exciting twist on fairytales.

I’m Matt Hadder.
I’ve been called ruthless, savage—even brutal—by the men and women who work for me. And I’ve earned my reputation.

Wonderland Inc., a party planning organization for every major player in the world, is Oz, and I’m its Wizard. I can make anything—drugs, prostitutes, deals—appear for a night and disappear just as quickly.

This doesn’t make me good or bad—it makes me essential.

Wonderland Inc. was my life, until a beautiful contradiction of innocence and impurity, obedience and rebelliousness named Alex Little stepped in and turned both of our worlds upside down.

Welcome to Wonderland, Alex.
A place where everything appears normal.
But we’re all mad.

Review

4.5 stars!

“I took a chance on you…Best fucking decision I ever made.”

Based on a classic fairytale with a dark contemporary edge, Alex in Wonderland isn’t one of the typical fun, sweet, and sexy rom coms we have come to expect from Max Monroe. It’s also a dangerously twisted, seductive, and mesmerizing read, and I couldn’t put it down.

Wonderland, Inc is a “party planning” organization run by Matt Hadder. It’s a global empire and now that Matt is the CEO, the business is better than ever and has its hands in everything.

Some might say my organization is similar to the mafia. Personally, I’m not thrilled with the comparison.
Aside from our sometimes-methods of swift justice and unmerciful punishment, my organization is wholly different.
Our goals, our clients, our secrecy.
So, yes, some might say we’re like the mafia, but I say we’re good venture capitalists.

Living in L.A., twenty-five year old Alex Little is strapped for cash and takes a job with Princess Party Productions dressing up as characters for quick money. Much to her dismay, her first assignment is Sprinkles the Rabbit instead of a pretty princess. Parading around the rich and famous in a rabbit suit is not what she had in mind. Talk about embarrassing.

Realizing that this gig isn’t what she wants, she knows she’s back to square one. At the party though, Alex catches Matt’s eye when she strips out of the horrid costume.  He likes what he sees and just might have something for her at Wonderland. With no other options, she uses the business card Matt gave her and her world is flipped upside down when she follows him down the rabbit hole.

Original and imaginative, this book captivated me from the very first page. Wonderland is a dark and dangerous world that is utterly delicious. It’s ruthless and unforgiving but it is also exciting and enticing. It’s easy to get sucked into the unique storyline and fall for the characters.

Matt is confident, smart, and business savvy, and I absolutely loved him. He’s domineering, a total alpha, and sexy AF. He is untouchable to everyone, yet I love how much Alex affects him and how different he is towards her. The way Alex brings him out of his element is endearing and proves his vulnerability which only makes him more human. He shows off his sweet and swoony side perfectly with her, but he is also true to himself; his bad boy persona is real and he has a dirty mouth that he’s not afraid to use.

He made me want to be bad. And fuck if that didn’t feel good.

Wonderland is full of mind games but never once did Matt play games with Alex. He’s honest about his feelings from the start and I loved that he recognized them for what they were. He is also uncharacteristically romantic and I loved it.

“I’m wholly in love with you, little one. You are my weakness.”

Alex is amazing. She is a strong heroine who doesn’t go against her beliefs. Though innocent and vulnerable in many ways, she has a backbone and isn’t afraid to use it. I loved the bravery and confidence she displays even when she is tested. She is also a hoot and her fresh attitude and her strong courage are exactly what Matt needs. Her confidence made me smile and the way she accepts Wonderland for what it is is awesome as she finds herself fitting in seamlessly.

Matt and Alex are so good together. The sexual tension is palpable and it builds deliciously with heated glances and teasing touches. Their sizzling chemistry is well written and tangible, making the sexy times so hot and realistic that you’ll end up fanning yourself. They compliment each other wonderfully and there is no question whether or not they belong to each other.

Together, it felt like we were our own version of Bonnie and Clyde. Two souls who played the game of life by their own rules.

There is no stupid behavior from either Alex or Matt making their relationship completely enjoyable. Their love is fierce and passionate and I loved the intensity that consumes them. Together, Matt and Alex are unstoppable.

“Even if you don’t call a fire by its name, little one, that doesn’t make it any less of a fire,” he whispered. “So, call us whatever you want, but I know, when it comes to you and me, we motherfucking burn.”

I loved the crazy, twisted, suspenseful world created for Wonderland, but the steam, humor, and romance drew me from the darkness, and rounded the story out quite nicely. With an epilogue that was perfect for Alex and Matt, I loved it all and I wouldn’t have changed a thing.

Alex in Wonderland will take you on a crazy ride down the rabbit hole. Overall, it’s a dark, sexy twist on a favorite fairytale and I can’t wait to read more of the Twisted Fairytale series when Sleeping Brutey releases.

Tiny Tease

“It is. It’s just…jarring.”

“You don’t find it natural?” I asked, putting a hand to her back and making her step closer. The pleasure girl moaned and writhed, her skin a flushed rose of arousal as Spade continued to play with her. Lou Diamond had joined them now too, feasting on her breasts and stroking his cock while kneeling on the plush red couch behind her opened leg.

Alex shook her head and nodded at the same time, her every nerve ending buzzing with confusion over what she’d been taught was appropriate, and the very opposite way she felt.

“That could be you,” I whispered, leaning into her back and grazing the shell of her ear with my breath.

She shivered—for about a millisecond—before bounding away and turning to meet my eyes, panic stark in hers. “Me? Do that? Like…right here? In front of people?” she stuttered. “No. No. Um, no.”

Excitement shot down my spine at her anxiousness. “No?” I questioned, careful to keep my tone reproachful. I wanted her to feel pressured—just to see if she could withstand it.

After a brief pause, she confirmed with a curt, determined shake of her head. “No.”

At six foot six and two hundred and seventy pounds, I was nothing short of physically intimidating. I was impressed by her backbone.

“Okay,” I agreed easily. Her eyes widened, and her plump lips parted. I took pleasure in her surprise.
