Wow. What an amazing read! This is a beautifully written, highly emotional story about the importance of friendship, love, being yourself and living in the moment. I loved every moment of the book and just want to keep reading. I actually feel a bit lost after finishing it!

Camryn and Andrew meet by chance on a bus when they are both “riding the road”. Camryn has no destination, and Andrew has one but just doesn’t want to get there. Upon meeting, they both feel a strong connection to the other, quickly become friends and decide to take a road trip together – no plans, no direction, just living each day as it happens. What follows is an incredible story about two people who open up and share themselves, and end up having a profound, life changing impact on each other.

With a simple plot, this is very much a character-driven story, and OMG did I love these characters!! Camryn starts the book as a bit of a lost soul. She has some painful demons in her past, and I just adored following her through her journey as she figured out who she was and what she wanted, all while learning to let go of the past and other people’s expectations of her and just live her life how she wanted it. Helping her along the way is the incredible Andrew Parrish. Pardon my language, but fuck me, this man is absolute perfection! I cannot possibly gush enough about him! Strong, confident, and insightful, but also flawed and oh-so-sexy, he is gorgeously protective of Camryn, and honestly wants to help her. He always knows just what to do and / or say – and always with just the right amount of teasing, humour or seriousness. I absolutely loved him!

Their relationship was gorgeous. A true friendship developed between them, and I loved how open and honest they were with each other from the very start. And even when they started to fall for each other, they never lost the feeling of fun and playfulness that they had together.

“I run behind her, letting her stay a few steps ahead of me so if she happens to fall I’ll be there to laugh at her first and then help her up afterwards.”

“Are you in love with me, Camryn Bennett?”
… “Not yet,” I say with a smile in my voice, “but I’m getting there.”

And when they finally did realise and confess their feelings, the emotional intensity in the book was off the charts!

“I want you, goddammit! … The thought of you leaving and never seeing you again tears-me-up-inside! … I can’t fucking breathe without you!”

The romance between Cam and Andrew is honest, passionate and absolutely incredible! With the story told from both POVs (which I LOVE), you understand what each of them are experiencing, and get to feel everything that they are feeling. There’s no game playing, no stupidity, it’s just all very natural, and I fell in love right alongside them.

The book takes you on an incredible journey with two amazing characters that I guarantee will stay with you for a long time. There is drama, laughs and lots of ‘those’ special moments in a book that make you clutch your heart, as well as a brilliant soundtrack that draws you right into the story. It culminates in an absolutely heart-wrenching climax that had me clamouring for tissues, and swooning all at the same time.

I absolutely loved it!

5 huge stars!

There were so many fantastically profound statements throughout the book, it’s one of those reads that you come away from feeling changed in some way. I want to share some of my faves…

“Shit really does happen. You just have to get over it. Beat the hell out of it by doing things that make you happy.”

“Why does everybody have to be with somebody? It’s a stupid delusion and a really pathetic way of thinking.”

“The moment you tell someone else is the moment you become a whiner and the world’s smallest violin starts to play. The truth is, we all have problems; we all go through hardships and pain, and my pain is paradise compared to a lot of people’s and I really have no right to whine at all.”

“I’m really not afraid of anything anymore. I guess when you just don’t care it kind of makes fear your bitch.”

“It’s my future and my life and I can’t make myself live the way someone else wants me to.”

“Just because one person’s problem is less traumatic than another’s doesn’t mean they’re required to hurt less”

“What compels any of us to do the things we do when deep down a part of us just wants to break free from it all?”

“Dwelling and planning is bullshit … You dwell on the past, you can’t move forward. Spend too much time planning for the future and you just push yourself backwards, or you stay stagnant in the same place all your life … Live in the moment … where everything is just right, take your time and limit your bad memories and you’ll get wherever it is you’re going a lot faster and with less bumps in the road along the way.”
