Review

A 1am finish for me, and totally worth it. This one is definitely up there as one of my faves in the BDB series. I love Manny and Payne as a couple, and as additions to the BDB family.

And of course I loved getting to read all about V again – he’s still a favourite. People seem to be upset about the whole V/Jane dynamic. I love the two of them together, particularly the changes in their relationship that we see towards the end of the book (squee moment) and I don’t think that Jane’s ‘condition’ really impacts upon the story at all. Everything seems to continue just as normal, she can just get around a whole lot easier than she used to.

The V/Butch dynamic reaches a WHOLE new level in this book. While I love the bond that these two share, events at the Commodore were a bit of a shocker, but I love how Butch knew exactly what his friend needed (and go Marissa with the extra support as well). The two boys were totally in sync with each other and they got through it together and moved on.

These books are really unlike any other I’ve read. They make me laugh, they make me swoon, and the banter between the boys is simply genius, how can you not fall in love with each of them?! Ward truly has a gift!

P.S. Getting very excited about the Qhuinn / Blay book
P.P.S. What is going on with Qhuinn’s vision??? Big twist coming there!
