All the Rage

all the rage book tour

Prologue

It was once said that if you love someone enough you should let them go.  If they come back to you, they were always meant to be yours.

It’s kind of bullshit.

My story was a little different than most.  I was a little different than most.

Because in my story, if you love someone enough, you should first drop the gun.

Review

5 Rage Stars!

I wanted him.
I didn’t want to want him.
I wanted to want to
kill him.

Wow! T.M. Frazier has done it again. All the Rage was an intense, dark, raw, and steamy read that was quickly added to my list of 2016 favorites. I could have read this book in one sitting, and if the demands of real life didn’t interrupt me, I would have. It was just that good! That being said, when I was able to pick the book up again, I stayed up way too late and finished it in one day. That is something that hasn’t happened in a long time, and I am so glad I found a book that completely captivated me from the first page to the very last. With it’s fantastic characters, hot romance, huge twists, funny banter, and intriguing storyline, it is no wonder that this book is easily a 5-star read for me!

We met Rage in Soulless, and from her first appearance I knew she would be an interesting character. Even as a young child, it was clear Rage was different. She was pegged as being emotionally voided and disconnected from people. Along with fearing unsubstantiated health ailments, she has uncontrollable fits of fury that had her parents searching for a diagnosis to explain her actions. Rage has a secret though, and it’s a big one that could ruin her life and the life of her parents if it’s ever revealed. So though she tries so hard to be normal and continues to fight the demons inside her, she eventually realizes the only way to be herself is to leave her old life behind, and stop pretending to be someone she is not.

Rage is beautiful, complicated, eccentric, badass, smart, and funny. Her life would be so much easier if she felt normal and had emotions like other people, but she is very different. She is a lethal killer, loves blowing up things, and is very successful in her field. She is well known around town for getting the job done and is feared by many.

“She’s a fucking pink demon…A ninja with a fucking ponytail.”

“Angel of death. Rambo Barbie.”

When Rage gets her next assignment from her mentor, Smoke, she learns her new target is Nolan. At first glance, Nolan seems like a normal, sexy guy who is down on his luck. His life was going well until an accident ripped his dreams from his grasp. No longer able to play hockey, he has to figure out what to do next.

Unlike her usual assignments, she has to meet Nolan, get to know him, and acquire the information Smoke needs from him. Rage isn’t the only one with a secret though, and Nolan is good at keeping it hidden. As they spend time together, Nolan sees the real Rage, and even though most men would run the other way when discovering what she was, it doesn’t scare Nolan off.

Beautiful. Strong. Fierce and Fiery.
A force greater than any storm and twice as destructive.
In some ways, she was naive. Innocent even. In other ways, she was the devil himself.

Rage has a reaction to Nolan unlike any she has ever had before, and she has no idea why his presence affects her the way it does. Unable to understand the feelings that are coursing through her body, she tries hard to resist Nolan’s advances. The sexual tension between Nolan and Rage is off the charts and you are just waiting for it to explode. Nolan’s attraction to Rage is fierce and you see the protective, dominant male come out when the tension gets to be too much. And it is hot!

“You and I are going to have a coming-to-Jesus moment. You’re gonna tell me your shit. I’m gonna tell you my shit, and then I’m going to fuck you. Long and hard, until you don’t remember your real name or the one you chose to go by because you’ll be too busy screaming mine.”

But Rage and Nolan could never amount to anything; he is a job after all. But what if they could somehow make it work in their messed up world?

As I stated before, I loved everything about All the Rage. I loved Nolan and Rage and I thought that they were fantastic together. Their banter was great and it left me laughing because of her quirkiness and his bluntness. I loved that Nolan challenged Rage, understood her, and pushed her when she needed it. There is an awakening inside of her that has always been missing sparked by Nolan, and he was her perfect match.

Rage is unlike any heroine I’ve come across. She is so unique and complex, and the way her character is written kept me intrigued the entire time. My heart hurt when she tried so hard to be normal but failed, and I was glad when she fully embraced who she really was. I loved getting inside her head and seeing her passion for what she did. She stopped pretending to be someone else and for a long time her job was the only thing that made her really feel any sort of emotion. I also enjoyed her responses to things she didn’t understand like the way she blamed her feelings for Nolan on some sickness. Her thought process made me laugh on a number of occasions. I loved that Rage was such a strong heroine and that she was able to overcome some terrible things.

I liked Nolan from the beginning, but when the story progressed and his secret came out, I loved him even more. His life ended up being more complex than he led us to believe, and I loved the fight he had in him and the determination he showed when he put his mind to something. Nolan was passionate, intense, and protective. He was also sexy and totally made me swoon.

“Come at me, Rage. Give me all you fucking got, and I’ll give it right back. Take it out on me. On my body. I promise, I can take it.” Nolan paused, running his gaze over my body, licking me up and down with his hazel eyes. “I want to take it.”

This book is written in dual POVs and I was glad got to see into both Nolan and Rages head. Even knowing what Nolan was thinking, I didn’t figure out his secret until he chose to reveal it. All the Rage is full of twists that completely caught me off guard. The beginning of the book has a nice steady pace that kept me interested, but by the half way mark, it went full speed ahead and I could not put it down. After the first few surprises, I figured the twists were over, but as the ending approached, the plot took a huge turn that left me biting my nails, my heart beating wildly, and actually worried about the outcome.

I also liked Smoke and his relationship with Rage. He was her teacher and mentor and I loved that he wanted something better for her. He was an interesting character, and now that I hear Smoke is getting his own book, I am eager to get my hands on that one too!!
