4 stars!<\/strong><\/p>\n

I love a good enemies-to-lovers story and Meghan March totally delivered on everything that I love about this trope \u2013 wicked banter, epic sexual tension, lots of heart and a realistically-developing love story. Add to that damaged yet wonderfully strong characters, a dramatic plotline, lots of sexy time and enough humour to keep things light, and this book (like the others in the series), is a fantastic read! Entertaining yet intense, with a sexy, sexy, romance, I loved it!<\/p>\n

March certainly had her work cut out with this book. She took the villain from a previous book and made him the hero of his very own story, and she absolutely nailed it! Lucas \u2018fucking\u2019 Titan has completely stolen my heart (along with other parts of my body), and I totally fell for his alpha caveman, dirty-talking ways! He is a rich, smug, arrogant bastard of a man who goes after what he wants, with little thought of how he gets there. He is the bad guy, and he\u2019s completely unapologetic about it, and there\u2019s something kind of enticing about his level of cocky ruthlessness. Especially when he finally meets his match in a woman who challenges him in a way no other woman has ever dared \u2013 Yve Santos.<\/p>\n

Yve\u2019s background is completely different from Lucas\u2019. She comes from a long line of mistresses \u2013 woman \u2018kept\u2019 by their wealthy lovers, and she is determined not to follow in their footsteps. She has escaped a tragic past with a brutal and violent ex-husband and has fought hard to overcome her fears, creating a good life for herself, working hard at a job she loves running a quirky clothing boutique, and socialising with a small and select group of friends.<\/p>\n

But when Yve\u2019s past comes back to haunt her, she unwittingly finds herself in the path of Lucas \u2018fucking\u2019 Titan, a man she can\u2019t stand, but a man that is intrigued by her. There\u2019s not many people that stand up to Lucas, and when feisty Yve refuses to fall for his \u2018charm\u2019 or back down from his challenges, he knows he has to have her.<\/p>\n

I wanted her.
\nSo I would have her.
\nThat\u2019s how life worked when you were Lucas Titan.<\/i><\/p>\n

She didn’t have to like me to fuck me; she just had to want me more than she hated me.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

God, I love the interplay between these two!<\/p>\n

\u201cYou’re a dick, you know that?\u201d
\n\u201cI’m aware.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

They hold nothing back from each other. Lucas makes it clear that he wants Yve, she makes it clear that she hates him, and with neither of them prepared to back down, and Lucas\u2019 epic arrogance, their confrontations are fantastic!<\/p>\n

\u201cI hate you.\u201d
\n\u201cBut you <\/i>want me.\u201d
\n\u201cFuck you, Titan.\u201d
\n\u201cNo, Yve. I\u2019m going to <\/i>fuck you. And you\u2019re going to <\/i>love it.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But underlying it all, there is a sizzling attraction between them that neither of them are able to deny, and they soon find themselves powerless to resist. Holy freaking hotness, this book is all kinds of steamy! Lucas is a dirty talker, and like the rest of his life, he holds nothing back in bed, and both of their worlds are rocked by the intense connection that they share. Once is not enough, and as much as they try to keep things strictly sex, they slowly begin to open up to each other and as they reveal their demons and their scars from the past, real feelings begin to develop.<\/p>\n

For as well as she hid it, she was vulnerable.
\nJust apparently, like I was.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

As hot as these two are together, their relationship is a slow burn as two closed-off, scarred souls finally find somebody that they can open up to. They lean on each other and are there for each other, with Lucas showing what a fiercely protective alpha he is. And though it surprises them both, they find something truly special together.<\/p>\n

I might be a little ragged around the edges, but I no longer felt like I was going to shatter into tiny pieces.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But with everything that they are trying to overcome, can the ruthless businessman open his heart and learn how to love? Can Yve learn to trust again? Or will her past destroy their happiness before they even get their chance?<\/p>\n

This was a really enjoyable read. The interplay between the characters was sensationally entertaining, the sex was smoking hot, the emotion was beautifully written, and the romance was gorgeous! There\u2019s a delicious sense of angst as we watch them go through the motions and fight their way to their happy ending, but it\u2019s not annoying, and there is no stupid behaviour. These two genuinely have a lot to work through, and I loved both characters, and the development they show (individually and together) as they fall and fall hard for each other.<\/p>\n

I love that the characters from the previous book all make an appearance, and though this book could be read as a standalone, I would recommend reading them in order so that you can fully appreciate the dynamics and the full background of how this group all fit together.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m loving this series, and can\u2019t wait for more.<\/p>\n
