Wow. Wow. Wow. Brittainy C. Cherry has once again moved me so completely that I am left utterly speechless.\u00a0 There is just something about this book; its different than what I thought it would be, not that I knew exactly what to expect, but it was so much more. The intense emotion that is portrayed in The Silent Waters rocked my world. It is both heartbreaking and breathtakingly beautiful, and even though this was difficult story to read and the pain felt so real, Brittainy’s gorgeous storytelling healed my heart, made it soar, and filled my soul with love and happiness. The Silent Waters is a magnetic force that pulled me in and refused to let me go. I am still reeling from this story days later. This book was pure magic and I loved every single thing about it!!<\/p>\n

I won’t go into the plot because I think it is best to go into this book\u00a0blind. Just know that there are\u00a0so many feelings packed in these pages that it is impossible not to be affected by the words. \u00a0The story was addictive and very hard to put down. \u00a0It\u00a0left me with a huge book hangover of the best kind\u00a0and\u00a0I can not stop thinking about Brooks and Maggie. Each time I try to move on, I find myself wanting to dive right back in to relive their story over and over again. I smiled, I laughed, I cried, and I loved. My heart beat wildly out of excitement, out of fear, and out of anticipation. There were times when my\u00a0body shook, my palms sweated, my breath hitched, and when it came to the\u00a0end, happy tears streamed down my face and my heart was so full. This book truly has all the feels you can want and more.<\/p>\n

Brittainy created\u00a0well-developed\u00a0and\u00a0complex characters that touched my heart and will forever have a place it in. They are easily relatable, interesting, unique and oh so lovable. They were perfectly imperfect in every way and I seriously adored them. This story is made up of moments and every single one\u00a0was\u00a0important to Brooks and Maggie’s story and who they were\u00a0together as well as who they\u00a0were\u00a0when they are apart – they were wonderful individually, but they were fantastic together. Brittainy captured the beauty of a pure, young, first love, and it gave me goosebumps and had me smiling from ear to ear.<\/p>\n

Though they\u00a0were meant to be together, no matter how hard they\u00a0tried, it never seemed to be\u00a0the right time.\u00a0Brooks and Maggie\u00a0had to fight for their relationship. They had to be patient and personally grow, and it wasn’t easy on them or the people around them. \u00a0Eventually decisions needed to be made. Decisions that hurt and broke my heart,\u00a0decisions that showed me the depth of love.<\/p>\n

In that moment, I knew she had been right about everything all along.<\/em>
\n She was right about me, and her, and us.<\/em>
\n She\u2019d be the one girl I\u2019d love until forever.<\/em>
\n No matter how life tried to change us.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Maggie’s character was fantastic\u00a0and I loved her from the very first page. She was sweet, innocent, optimistic and had a pure soul. Brittainy described Maggie as a child so well and then continued to capture her loving\u00a0personality into adulthood. There was nothing about her to dislike. She had such a beautiful heart and when a tragedy occurred that changed Maggie’s life forever, her pain and fear broke me. I cried for her and with her.\u00a0I understood her and her coping methods and what she had to do the survive. \u00a0She was brave but it still hurt. She was not alone though; Brooks\u00a0stood\u00a0by her side.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll be your anchor. I\u2019ll help you stay grounded when you feel like you are drifting away.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

What can I say about Brooks? He was absolutely amazing and may be my favorite hero of Brittainy’s. His heart was huge, his support unending, his friendship true, and his love everlasting. His feelings\u00a0for Maggie ran so deep and he always put her first. Brooks was the only one who heard Maggie when she didn’t say a word\u00a0and I love how he truly knew who she was and what she needed.<\/p>\n

\u201cI need you to know that even if you decide to never speak again, you\u2019ll always have someone around to hear you\u2026I\u2019ll always be there there to listen to your silence.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I loved the\u00a0drive\u00a0and\u00a0persistence\u00a0Brooks had\u00a0when doing the things he loved. I loved that Maggie was never far from his mind\u00a0and he made my heart swell whenever he was around.<\/p>\n

When\u00a0Brooks was faced with his struggles, my heart broke. I understood what\u00a0he was going through and felt his pain. I loved the support and commitment Maggie showed him; she was there for him just as he was there for her and it was beautiful.<\/p>\n

Each one of the wonderful side characters in this book played an important role in Maggie and Brooks’ life and I loved them all. Maggie\u2019s father was loving and supportive. He was a constant in life and never gave up on her.\u00a0Maggie\u2019s relationships with Cheryl and Calvin were heartwarming and the bandmates made me smile. The support system that each character created proved that love can heal and prevail even when the odds are against you.<\/p>\n

I loved the importance of music in the book. Brooks was passionate about music and he shared it\u00a0with Maggie. \u00a0Music was Maggie’s escape, and Brooks always knew exactly what\u00a0to play\u00a0and\u00a0had a way of\u00a0making things better when Maggie felt overwhelmed.\u00a0I loved the shout out to Romeo’s Quest too. <3<\/p>\n

The Silent Waters was simply amazing\u00a0and this\u00a0epic romance is easily one of my favorite 2016 reads!!<\/p>\n

A person never reads an outstanding book twice and walks away with the same beliefs. An outstanding book always surprises you and awakens you to new ideas, new ways of looking at the world, no matter how many times the words have been read.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
