LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS BOOK!<\/strong><\/p>\n

A surprising, funny, sexy, heartfelt and beautifully romantic story that held me captivated from start to finish. The anticipation had me buzzing with excitement, the romance had me swooning, and the emotion is beautifully wound into the whole story \u2013 the highs and the lows – and I honestly loved every moment of it!<\/p>\n

Sydney\u2019s whole world has just been ripped out from underneath her when her best friend calls her with the news that her boyfriend has broken her heart. Looking for an outlet for her rage, she decides to call the guy to give him a serve \u2013 only to dial the wrong number and end up screaming profanities to a completely innocent man (and let me tell you, this is one EPIC smackdown!…<\/p>\n

\u201cYou hurt her,\u201d I bit out through clenched teeth. \u201cYou hurt my best friend. And you better pray to the God of assholes like you that I don\u2019t ever see your ugly, motherfucking face. Jail doesn\u2019t scare me, loser. The man on the other end of the phone is Brian Savage. Brian has had a devastating few months, and has very little in his life that gives him joy, but having a complete stranger go off at him entertains him in a way he hasn\u2019t experienced in a long time. After clearing up the mix up, Brian isn\u2019t ready to lose contact with the wild woman on the other end of the phone, so he decides to text her. And this is the beginning of an incredible relationship.<\/p>\n

What begins as friendly interaction and funny banter soon becomes something a lot more as pointless chit-chat and random thought sharing become deep and personal conversations, innocent flirting, and then not-so-innocent flirting. They open up about their lives and are there for each other in ways that neither of them anticipated, and in a way which takes them both by surprise. They lay everything out there for each other, there\u2019s no game playing or stupid behaviour, they embrace what\u2019s developing between them, and I adored every anticipation-laden interaction.<\/p>\n

My world was one miserable mistake-shaping second after another, except for the breaks in my misery that belonged to her.
\nAnd no way was I ready to give that up.
\nBest two and a half weeks of my life came from a girl who was never meant to give me anything.
\nAnd she was giving me everything. <\/i><\/p>\n

If she was expecting feelings to be left out of this, whatever this was between us, it was too fucking late for that.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The connection that is forged between these two before they even meet is absolutely amazing, and the chemistry, sexual tension and sense of anticipation is absolutely epic as we wait for their inevitable meeting \u2013 which MORE than meets expectation (DAYUM!). The intensity between them over the phone is only amplified when they are actually together, and it\u2019s hot, passionate, and full of emotion.<\/p>\n

\u201cNever felt anything like this. Told you I didn\u2019t care how crazy this was. Still don\u2019t. <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Brian\u2019s mannerisms and dialogue remind me a lot of a Kristen Ashley alpha, but it totally works for him, and I was happily caught up in his intense, possessive, heart-on-his-sleeve, say-it-like-it-is ways. He is exactly the man that Sydney needs to drag her out of her mundane life and encourage her to live her life \u2018wild\u2019, just like she wants, and he is there to help her heal her broken heart and move forward. And Sydney is a wonderful heroine. I love the way that she picks herself up and keeps going after having her life turned upside down, I love the strength she shows in following her heart, and trusting Brian so implicitly, and I love that she is there for him, just as he is for her. They are wonderfully matched, and together they are fun, passionate, intense and romantic, and I loved the way their love story progresses.<\/p>\n

\u201cWanna set your whole fucking world on fire, babe, \u2018cause that\u2019s what you\u2019ve done to mine.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But Brian hasn\u2019t revealed everything about his past and his heartbreaking torment. When his secret is revealed, will their love be strong enough to survive?<\/p>\n

I loved this story. Absolutely loved it. The characters, the romance, the sex, the laughs, the drama, all of it! Sydney and Brian\u2019s story is unexpected and absolutely enjoyable, and I love that J. Daniels was able to put so much emotion into this story. The sense of anticipation that she was able to build is absolutely fantastic, and I was literally bouncing up and down in my chair with excitement and happiness more than once while reading. The heartfelt moments are well executed, with both Sydney and Brian having things they need to overcome, and that being addressed beautifully, and the drama is handled realistically, without excessive stupid and with lots of heart. But mostly, this is just a gorgeously romantic story. Full of all of the fun, love, sex, swoon and laughs that I love in a book.<\/p>\n

It was everything. From the start, from the first mistaken phone call, it was everything.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And a shout out, too, to the great cast of side characters. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book in the series, Hit the Spot<\/em>, with Tori and Jamie.<\/p>\n

Fantastic, I loved it. 5 stars.<\/p>\n

The sun burned across a cloudless sky. I felt the intensity of it bake into the skin of my bare shoulders.<\/p>\n

Waves crashed against the shore, some carrying surfers with them in the distance. A few feet ahead of me, a small child kicked a sand castle and giggled with his father.<\/p>\n

I sat down on a step and slipped my sandals off.<\/p>\n

The sand was warm underneath my feet as I dug my toes into it, staring out at the world in front of me. I rubbed a shell between my fingers as I watched a couple walk hand-in-hand toward the pier.<\/p>\n

They looked happy. I tried to remember the last time Marcus held my hand, or even reached for it.<\/p>\n

My chest burned when I couldn\u2019t conjure up an image in my mind.<\/p>\n

I looked down at the faint line marking my left ring finger. The token I was left with now that I no longer wore my ring. It was subtle, thanks to my naturally pale skin, but to me it stood out like embers glowing in the dark.<\/p>\n

I hated it. I didn\u2019t need a reminder of how I\u2019d failed as a wife. Or how Marcus stopped seeing me as one.<\/p>\n

Maybe I could coat my entire hand in sunblock except for that thin strip. Burn the memory away.<\/p>\n

The idea seemed promising enough to consider.<\/p>\n

From my back pocket, my cell beeped with an incoming message.<\/p>\n

I wiped the tear from my cheek as I stood and palmed my phone, expecting to see Tori\u2019s name lit up on my screen.<\/p>\n

I froze on the step, my free hand on the railing as I stared curiously at the message and the number it was sent from.<\/p>\n

My lip twitched, the hint of a smile.<\/p>\n

I sat back down, reading the message a second time as I remembered my conversation with this stranger yesterday.<\/p>\n

I couldn\u2019t think of the last time I was that embarrassed.<\/p>\n

I told the guy to remove a dildo from his mouth, for Christ sakes.<\/p>\n

All in all, whoever this was seemed to be a good sport about it. He could\u2019ve laid into me and cussed me out. Made me feel even more like a complete shit for dialing the wrong number and not confirming the identity of my intended victim before I tore into him like he owed me money.<\/p>\n

He was more than decent about the whole thing. Easily forgiving.<\/p>\n

And now he was messaging me out of nowhere and striking up conversation.<\/p>\n

Wild<\/i>.<\/p>\n

He wanted to talk to me.<\/p>\n

Huh.<\/p>\n

I tapped my thumb on the edge of the phone case, then hovered over the letters of my keypad as I stared at the message.<\/p>\n

Did I even want to talk to this guy anymore? Wasn\u2019t this weird? We didn\u2019t know each other. Our encounter was a mistake. A one-time mishap, never to be repeated.<\/p>\n
