Bromberg has given us all three in one book! This book is a fun, exciting, passionate love story that is beautifully swoony and left me all gooey with a dopey grin on my face.

Saylor has just been invited to the wedding of her ex-fiance, 8 short months after walked away from their toxic relationship. Stunned at the audacity of such a move, she responds to the invite saying that she will go, and that she’s bringing a plus one. She has no intention of posting it…. but her ever-so-helpful assistant does it for her.

Saylor started her life over when she became single again and she has thrown her heart and soul into making her cupcake business, Sweet Cheeks, a success. But her ex-fiance’s wealthy and influential family have snubbed her store – with others quickly following suit – and the store is struggling. So she figures she’ll go along to the wedding to prove that she’s not falling apart and that she’s actually happy for the new couple in the hopes that it will help her store. Now if only she could find a date…

Her big brother, Ryder, is the one that steps in to help, asking his best friend to escort Saylor to the wedding. However his best friend just happens to be Saylor’s first love, and the boy that broke her heart when he left her to pursue his dreams of an acting career. Hayes Whitley is now a huge Hollywood star, and the man she’s never been able to forget.

Oh how I love the set up to this story! Saylor and Hayes haven’t seen each over in almost ten years but all of that chemistry is still there. There is still a strong attraction, and all of those memories that come from being childhood friends and each other’s first everything. But there’s also a whole lot of hurt, and when Hayes offers to accompany Saylor to the wedding and act like the doting boyfriend, she looks at the trip as an opportunity to save her business, demonstrate her confidence and say goodbye to the men of her past once and for all. But things don’t exactly go that way, and as Saylor and Hayes loosen up around each other and start to recapture their playfulness and ease with each other, all of that emotion comes racing back to the surface.

I really enjoyed Saylor and Hayes’ relationship. Their deep friendship is obvious, and I love that we get to see them enjoying each other and having fun as they get to know each other all over again. Their antics are so funny, and the teasing and banter is great. And, of course, the sizzling attraction that underlies each and every moment they share naturally comes to the surface and my, it’s hot!

“My pace, Saylor. Not yours. I’m in control now. You may own pieces of me you never even knew, but right now, I’m going to own you. Every single part of you.”

But more than just playfulness and mad lust, the strong emotional bond between them is clear from the very start, and though Hayes has some stuff going on in his private life, it’s not too long before the two of them find themselves lost in everything that they feel for each other, throwing themselves all in and the romance and swoon is beautiful!

“I’ve never been able to resist you. Not then. Not now.” Not ever.

But can the love they have recaptured fit into their very different lives? And will Hayes’ celebrity and all that comes with it threaten everything that they’ve found?

I loved this book. Written in dual POV, it’s a great mix of sweet, sexy, fun and emotional with just the right amount of drama to make things interesting without overwhelming the story. Saylor and Hayes’ chemistry leaps off the page, as does their soul-deep love for each other, their reconnection felt real and natural, and I loved watching them find their way back to each other.

He shrugs, his gaze never wavering. “The way I see it, sometimes things happening life and love’s put on hold. But if someone’s your soul mate, nothing is going to stop you from being together in the end.”

This is a gorgeous, feel-good read (with a super-swoony epilogue), and I loved it. 4 stars.

Sweet Cheeks

<img decoding="async" Bromberg writes contemporary novels that contain a mixture of sweet, emotional, a whole lot of sexy and a little bit of real. She likes to write strong heroines and damaged heroes who we love to hate and hate to love.

She’s a mixture of most of her female characters: sassy, intelligent, stubborn, reserved, outgoing, driven, emotional, strong, and wears her heart on her sleeve. All of which she displays daily with her husband and three children where they live in Southern California.

On a whim, K. Bromberg decided to try her hand at this writing thing. Since then she has written The Driven Series (Driven, Fueled, Crashed, Raced, Aced), the standalone Driven Novels (Slow Burn, Sweet Ache, Hard Beat, and Down Shift), and a short story titled UnRaveled.

Her plans for 2017 include a sports romance duet (The Player (#1) and The Catch (#2)) and the Everyday Heroes series (Cuffed (#1), Combust (#2), and Cockpit (#3). She’s also writing a novella for the 1,001 Dark Night series that will be out in February 2017.
She loves to hear from her readers so make sure you check her out on social media.

WEBSITE | FACEBOOK | TWITTER | GOODREADS | PINTEREST | AMAZON

An all new second chance love story by the New York Times Bestselling author of the Driven series.
