I love this series! Absolutely adore it! The story of six individuals, three couples \u2013 each with their own demons to face, but each of them determined to live their lives on their own terms, and OMG, I cannot get enough! I love each and every one of these characters, and watching them laugh, cry, banter and argue their way through the ups and downs that they face, leaning on each other and being there for each other the whole way, is absolutely epic!<\/p>\n

A quick note – I am a wee bit obsessed with reading a series in order, with this series, it\u2019s ESSENTIAL! I know there are \u2018companion novels\u2019 and \u2018spin off novels\u2019, but in reality, it\u2019s all a continuous story, and you need to read each of the books in order to get the complete picture and understand what\u2019s going on. Please, I beg you\u2026. DON\u2019T SKIP ANY BOOKS IN THIS SERIES!!<\/p>\n

This book takes us back to the events immediately following\u00a0Addicted for Now, and through the two year time period of\u00a0Kiss the Sky\u00a0and\u00a0Hothouse Flower\u00a0\u2013 but this time we\u2019re back to Lily and Lo\u2019s perspectives.<\/p>\n

I must confess, as much as I love this series, Lily and Lo\u2019s story wasn\u2019t the one that turned me into a hardcore fan of this series. I actually enjoyed\u00a0Kiss the Sky<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Hothouse Flower<\/em>\u00a0more than the books from Lily and Lo\u2019s perspectives. This is probably because the dynamics between all of the characters were fully established by the time\u00a0Kiss the Sky<\/em>\u00a0came along, and those dynamics are what make this series so incredibly addictive (pardon the pun). But I absolutely LOVED the opportunity to go back to Lily and Lo POV in this book, and I found that I enjoyed them as a couple even more now that I\u2019ve read the other books.<\/p>\n

I think knowing everybody better, and having seen everything from the different POVs has put an extra edge to the series, and it makes the sensational dynamics between these characters absolutely phenomenal. Seriously, probably the best I\u2019ve ever read. The way they play off each other is genius, and the teasing, arguments, banter and nerd speak all ties in beautifully with the genuine concern, love and affection between them. These guys share pretty much everything, and I love how everybody\u2019s lives are openly dissected and discussed. It\u2019s both hilarious and heart-wrenching, and I can\u2019t help but get lost in the world that the Ritchie sisters have created.<\/p>\n

In particular, Lily and Lo\u2019s relationship is absolutely sensational. More than best friends and lovers, they are truly soul mates. Every little interaction is special, and just reinforces how integral a part of each other\u2019s lives they are.<\/p>\n

Our love is rare. It\u2019s one I can\u2019t abandon , even if I tried. When she screams, an identical one rips through me. When she cries, my world rains with grief. When she loves, I truly, truly fly.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

They are both still dealing with and recovering from their addictions, but I love how the heavy is offset by the lightness and fun they have together. The references to Harry Potter, X-Men and all things nerdish show us the depth of their friendship and how important that part of their relationship is, and even in the midst of somebody else’s drama, it adds so much to creating their own little universe<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re no longer welcome at that particular hotel\u2026 for eternity. Those were the manager\u2019s exact words.\u201d Connor loosens his bowtie. \u201cI don\u2019t blame him for thinking we\u2019re immortal. In some preclassic civilizations, I\u2019d be considered a god.\u201d
\nRose\u2019s yellow-green eyes drill holes into him. \u201cCongratulations, you are officially the cockiest human being on planet Earth.\u201d\u00a0<\/em>That\u2019d be Iron Man. But I hold my tongue.
\n\u201cThat\u2019s Iron Man,\u201d Lo says. I literally rise like I\u2019m floating.\u00a0<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

With the entire gang focused on helping them overcome their addictions, Lily and Lo are under constant scrutiny, with a particular focus on their sex life. And it\u2019s so beautiful how they manage to maintain the intimacy between them, and each of those moments is so meaningful.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m going to love Lily how I want to love her.
\nOverwhelmingly, uncompromisingly.\u00a0<\/em>
\nLook away if you have to.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I honestly couldn\u2019t get enough of them. Once again my heart broke with all they are going through, but I felt it even more in this one because they are both trying so hard to overcome their issues and create a life together. Every backward step for one of them broke my heart, but the way they were there for each other, and their unwavering commitment and love for each other made me so proud, and turned me into a puddle of swoon on the floor.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe world is never going to understand us,\u201d he tells me, his eyes so impassioned that I can\u2019t look away. \u201cBut it doesn\u2019t matter, Lil. We have each other.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

While this book is essentially a look back at events we\u2019ve already seen, there\u2019s a lot of new material, and even though it\u2019s mainly focused on Lily and Lo\u2019s story \u2013 it\u2019s a more in depth look at Connor and Rose, and Ryke and Daisy. We get to see parts of the story we haven\u2019t seen before, as well as some of the more important moments that have featured in the earlier books, but from a different perspective and it makes it feel so much more meaningful when we have the opportunity to see the complete picture \u2013 my heart broke (again) during the big Lo\/Ryke showdown. OMG, the feeeeeeels!<\/p>\n

And at no point did this book feel repetitive. It\u2019s always a challenge for authors to write a different perspective book, and not everybody can pull it off, but the Ritchie sisters have totally nailed it! Knowing what\u2019s coming just adds a whole extra sense of anticipation to the story, and I thought every moment was gold \u2013 the meaningful and the playful, I loved it all.<\/p>\n

This series is very quickly developing into a favourite for me. I cannot WAIT for more.<\/p>\n
