Yes, yes, yes! The Ritchie sisters have nailed it with this one! There\u2019s nothing I can say about this book that I haven\u2019t said about any of the other books in this series \u2013 the story is wonderfully engaging with lots of drama, humour, passionate romance and the most incredible character dynamics of any series I\u2019ve read; and the writing is superb.<\/p>\n

This book brings us back to Ryke and Daisy, and though I adore each of the characters in this series, there\u2019s something about Ryke that makes him my favourite (yes, I said it!), so of course I was stupidly excited to dive into this book. After the build up to their story in the last book, I knew this one was going to be an emotional ride, and I wasn\u2019t wrong. I laughed, I cried, I swooned and I danced around my house in happiness. It was everything that I wanted, and I absolutely loved it.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe\u00a0<\/em>only\u00a0perfect world has Ryke standing beside Daisy and Daisy standing beside Ryke. Anything less is fucked up.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Ryke and Daisy are the wild ones of the group. Full of energy and a lust for life, they barely sit still and try to live each moment to the fullest \u2013 wild and crazy and on their own terms. These two have been through a lot to get to where they are, both personally and as a couple, and where they are is happy, together, and totally committed, though still carrying scars and still facing hurdles before they can claim their HEA. Daisy is still suffering PTSD from all that she has endured, and is heading into one of the biggest challenges of her life, and Ryke is right by her side for all of it \u2013 feeling it all with her as the super-supportive boyfriend, and his love for her is a beautiful thing.<\/p>\n

I want to fucking protect her from the pain that her friends bring, but I can\u2019t shield her from people. I couldn\u2019t do that four years ago. I can\u2019t fucking do it now.<\/em><\/p>\n

I\u2019m just here when she needs me. Whatever she fucking wants. I\u2019m here.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

God, I love these two together! Like the other couples in the series, they are 100% open with each other, hiding absolutely nothing and they accept each other exactly as they are. They may have demons but together they are an absolute powerhouse.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne-hundred-and-fifty miles per hour. No brakes.\u201d
\nHis eyes redden. Our gazes are locked, all of our experiences together rushing through us, every moment where we kissed death but never tasted it. Every time we lived life so terribly\u2014 so\u00a0<\/em>fully.
\nAnd then he snatches my hairband, my brown locks tumbling out of a bun. His jaw glides across my cheek, his hand protectively on the back of my head, his breath warming my ear. And he says, \u201cI\u2019m right beside you, Calloway.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cWherever you go, I\u2019ll go.\u201d As long as I\u2019m alive, this will never fucking change.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Their already intense relationship continues to develop, and I adored every moment of these two together. Again, like the other couples, they have their own little universe which is unique to them and completely theirs, and that is captured beautifully over and over again. So in love, so incredibly swoony, and so, so hot!!!<\/p>\n

I breathe deeply, and he hovers above me.
\n\u201cI\u2019m going to fuck you,\u201d he says, yanking off my pants. The cold nips my skin. \u201cI\u2019m going to have sex with you.\u201d He kisses me strongly while lifting my sweater off my head. \u201cI\u2019m going to make love to you.\u201d His eyes bore into mine. \u201cAll at fucking once.\u201d His gaze dances over my features. \u201cNot because of a fucking theory. I can\u2019t think of a place I\u2019d rather be\u00a0<\/em>right now\u00a0than with you. Truth is, I can\u2019t think of a place I\u2019d rather be in fifty fucking years than next to you.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

As well as continuing the storylines from previous books in the series, there are some new challenges for Daisy and Ryke to face in this book, and all I can say is\u2026 wow, what a ride! Dramatic and emotional, the Ritchie sisters pull no punches showing us all that these two go through and the feels are intense! I cried more than once while reading, and my heart broke for all that they go through. But it\u2019s an amazing journey, and seeing Ryke and Daisy, and their families, stand strong through it all was sensational. It\u2019s an amazing journey – every step is meaningful, testing them in ways they never imagined, but ultimately showing them exactly what they are capable of, and leading them to a place where they get the HEA that they deserve, and that we so desperately want for them. Of course there is no doubt that their relationship will survive anything, but I loved seeing them deal with all that they personally go through (even though it sometimes hurts). I know that they\u2019re book characters, but they seem so real to me, and I felt so proud watching them endure only to come out stronger.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve watched Lo become sober.
\nI\u2019ve watched Lily curb a relentless addiction.\u00a0<\/em>(I\u2019m proud of you, sis.)\u00a0
\nI\u2019ve watched Rose blaze her own trail and put fire to stereotypes.
\nI\u2019ve watched Connor fall in love. With more than just himself.
\nI\u2019ve watched Ryke Meadows unclip his shackles and rise again.
\nAnd me. I\u2019ve discovered who I am.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This group are stronger when they are together, and the bonds between them are truly something very special. They love and care for each other deeply, and they have each other\u2019s backs without question. But just as importantly, they laugh, tease, argue and have fun. They are all up in each other\u2019s lives, so they know each other inside out, and the relationships between each of the characters has been uniquely developed from the very beginning and carried throughout the whole series. It\u2019s an absolute delight to read.<\/p>\n

As with other books in the series, the story may be told from the POV of Ryke and Daisy, but it really is a continuing story for all of the characters and there is a lot going on not only for them, but within the family groups as well, and I really liked how the parents and other siblings were included in the story, and the growth of those characters and the subtle shifts in the relationships are fantastic. We know there is something special between the Calloway sisters, but the boys were just as amazing in this one, especially when Ryke hits rock bottom and Lo is immediately there for him, stepping in to be his big brother\u2019s rock for the first time, and Connor\u2019s declarations were just as meaningful. The continued development of the relationships between all of the characters was gorgeous.<\/p>\n

The timing of the book covers a long period so we get to see a whole lot going on, and then, just to make an awesome book even MORE incredible, there is an epilogue set ten years into the future where we get to see where everybody is at, and it\u2019s fantastic! And while this book does finish off the series beautifully, I\u2019m still stupidly excited for the release of\u00a0Some Kind of Perfect, the epilogue book, and then the continuation of the story in the spin off series, starting with\u00a0Damaged Like Us.<\/p>\n

Once again the Ritchie sisters have done an incredible job. I loved it.<\/p>\n
