Sometimes the right guy is the one you never see coming.”

I had a grin on my face from the first word to the last while reading this book. Right is the second in Jana Aston’s Wrong series and was a light-hearted, sexy, sweet read packed with so much humor that it had me laughing-out-loud with tears streaming down my face.

We first meet Everly in Wrong. She has had a crush on her brother’s best-friend, Finn, for years. Finally, they are both single and she feels this is the perfect time for them to explore the connection that has been growing over the years. The connection that apparently only she feels. She doesn’t want to talk about the fact that she is a borderline stalker. She knows Finn is meant for her and she is willing to do anything to get him.

Everly’s plan – the one where she gets a ride back to school with Finn and he finally sees her as more than just his brother’s little sister – has been hijacked when she finds herself in a car headed back to Philadelphia with a man she literally just met. He is driving her crazy by putting a kink in her plan yet she has no idea why he is getting under her skin. There’s no denying that he’s hot, sexy, and interested but she doesn’t want him. She wants Finn. She has always wanted Finn. Nothing’s changed, right?

OMG I loved this book! I was so excited to get my hands on Everly’s story and it definitely did not disappoint. The characters, the banter, the story, the surprises, everything was great.

Everly is sassy, stubborn, and loudmouthed but also sweet and loyal. She is totally over-the-top yet so entertaining. I loved that she finally met her match. Sawyer was confident, intense, sweet, and just as hilarious. He challenged her and accepted her for who she is and I loved that he wanted the real Everly, faults and all.

Usually people are trying to rein me in, not encourage me, but I don’t think Sawyer would. I think instead of wanting me to tone it down, he’d look forward to what I’d throw at him next.

Everly and Sawyer are absolutely hilarious together. The back and forth is epic and what starts as mostly semi-hostile interactions turns into all out fun with characters like them. I loved the fact that Everly can’t believe Sawyer would do the things he did when she would totally do them herself and it had me cracking up the whole way through. The things he did were even better than what she could have come up with in my opinion.

For the first three-fourths of the story I was wrapped up in the bubble of humor, heart, and sweet moments along with Everly. I knew the drama was coming and I dreaded it with every turn of the page. When the twist revealed it’s ugly head, it’s a shocker and thankfully it isn’t dragged out for long. The resolution was quick and maybe even a bit too easy but I liked it nonetheless.

Though the story is written in Everly’s POV, I loved that we got a little bit of Sawyer’s POV in the epilogue and it made me warm and fuzzy inside. Overall, a fantastic addition to the Wrong series.

“I can edit the vision I had for my future, for our future. Just as long as you’re in it.”

*Note: I listened to the audio version of Right. I felt it was wonderfully done and I definitely recommend it.

The Wrong Series

<div data-post-id="16394" class="insert-page
