Though a quick read, its full of humor, steam, and heart and is a wonderful office romance. The few scenes in the previous book, Right, that included Sandra and Gabe were all I needed to pique my interest in this novella.

Sandra is twenty-six and the executive assistant to Sawyer, from Right. We get to see a little bit about her character in that book, all of which left me intrigued and wanting her story. Sandra is great at her job and wouldn’t do anything to jeopardize it, including go after her secret crush, Gabe. He is a multi-millionaire in his thirties who doesn’t hurt for female companionship. He is the CFO of Clemens Corporation, best-friends with Sawyer, and totally off-limits.

Sandra and Gabe’s story starts with an anonymous sex quiz that doesn’t stay anonymous for long.

“I think about the paper burning a hole in my pocket and wonder again if it was hers. I’d like it to be hers. I think sweet Sandra has a hidden dirty side, and I’d really like to uncover it.”

Soon Sandra has caught Gabe’s eye. She would never do anything about her crush, so what happens when Gabe decides to make the first move?

I loved this novella. Fling was a quickie but still had the heat to turn you on and the heart to make you swoon. It was fun, flirty and witty. Written in dual POV, I loved getting to see inside both Sandra and Gabe’s heads. Sandra was great. I loved that she was gorgeous, yet didn’t really know it. She was awkward, clueless, and adorable. Such a fresh character that was instantly likable and relatable. Her insecurities were realistic and I loved that she worked to overcome them as the story progressed.

Gabe was a successful business man used to getting what he wants. A little push was all it took for him to notice Sandra. The way everything played out was hysterical. I loved how oblivious Sandra was to his advances and I was glad that Gabe took the initiative. There was a moment though that had my frustrations growing, but he redeemed himself quickly.

“Tell me what you want, and I can make it happened…”
“I want it all.”

The ending wrapped up quickly, tied with a nice big bow, yet I found myself wanting more of their story. Overall, it’s an enjoyable addition to this series though!

The Wrong Series

<div data-post-id="16394" class="insert-page insert-page-16394
