4 beautifully romantic and SUPER steamy stars!<\/b><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve read and enjoyed all of Natasha Madison\u2019s other books, so I figured I would go back and see where it all started, and I really liked this one! Sexy alpha NHL player, sexy and sassy single mother, heaps of chemistry, heaps of sex, heaps of emotion, and no stupid behaviour or game playing, this was a fun, romantic read and a really impressive debut.<\/p>\n

Parker is a divorced single mother of two who runs her family\u2019s ice staking rink, and part of her business is offering rehabilitation to athletes. When the NHL\u2019s golden boy, Cooper Stone, needs intense rehab to help repair his injured knee, he ends up in Parker\u2019s rink, working one-on-one with her. Sparks fly from their very first moment together \u2013 but not good sparks. Cooper is an ass, and Parker gets all up in his face about it, but all of that antagonism quickly shifts to lust, and the chemistry between them practically explodes when, with one hot steaming hot kiss, Cooper lays his claim.<\/p>\n

\u201cBaby, you can send me away, but this thing, you and me, it\u2019s happening.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Cooper is a total alpha (in the grand tradition of KA alphas). He wants Parker and he sets about making that happen and he won\u2019t take no for an answer.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cUm, hi, what do you mean?\u201d
\n\u201cI mean we are having supper.\u201d
\n\u201cUm, together at the same time?\u201d

He is open and honest with her about what he is feeling and what he wants, and the fact that what he is feeling for Parker is something he\u2019s never felt before. And he drives things between them at a fast pace as he throws himself into a real relationship for the first time in his life.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen are you going to get it into your thick ass head that this isn\u2019t the fling you keep saying it is? I want to know you, all of you, everything about you. What makes you smile, what makes you sad, your fears, your hopes, your dreams. I want it all. I want you to give all that to me. I don\u2019t give a fuck if you have one kid or twelve kids, what I care is that I\u2019m here with you.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Awwwwww.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s hot, intense, fast moving, and did I say hot? Holy damn these two are steamy together \u2013 both dirty talkers, both insatiable for each other, and both willing and eager for anything and everything – the sexy time is sizzling, and there\u2019s lots of it! (Probably a little too much for me, because I did skim a few). But the relationship is definitely the focus of the story, the emotional connection between Parker and Cooper is well established with a lot of detail about their time together, and there is lots of teasing and banter, and I really enjoyed seeing how much they enjoyed each other.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s go before you whip your dick out to see which one is bigger.\u201d
\n\u201cBabe, he can\u2019t win there either. You\u2019ve seen my dick. It\u2019s fucking huge.\u201d
\n\u201cOh. My. God. You did not just say that.\u201d
\n\u201cI don\u2019t lie, babe, it\u2019s a fact.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Oh, I love Cooper and his demanding, controlling ways, and Parker is a wonderful match for him. Her life was upended when she caught her husband cheating on her, but she doesn\u2019t let her past experiences stop her from diving into and exploring things with Cooper. She’s strong enough to stand up to him, yet still very open, and their relationship develops naturally and easily with lots of heart.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve had many years with a man who not only looked through me, he passed me by, not stopping to look at me. But you, you see me.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And best of all \u2013 they are so freaking functional! Yes, they have a few ups and downs, and there are ex dramas and issues they need to deal with (all very functionally), but they deal with it, they don\u2019t hold back from each other, and watching them fall for each other and just go with it was gorgeous.<\/p>\n

I want to fucking ravish her. I want to fucking own her. I want her to feel me all over her. I want her yesterday, I want her tomorrow, I want her always.
\nI sit up, looking into her eyes. \u201cIt\u2019s forever. You know this, right?\u201d
\n\u201cPromise?\u201d she asks me with bated breath.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And it\u2019s so freaking swoony!!!<\/p>\n

\u201cNever had anything to go home to or miss. Then I go and meet this smartass, sassy woman, and she knocks me on my ass. She takes my heart. She owns it. She gives me a family, she makes me a home, and I just want to be there. I want to cherish it.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I loved the inclusion of Parker\u2019s kids. 15 year old Matthew and 5 year old Allison, they both add a lot to the story, and I loved seeing their relationships with Parker, and the way that Cooper gets folded into the family. And with friends and family all watching the developing romance, there\u2019s a lot of great dynamics happening.<\/p>\n

I really enjoyed this book. It\u2019s a great read and, like I said, a really impressive debut. And having already read Natasha\u2019s later work, Cooper, Parker and Matthew have a cameo in [book:Tempt The Boss|33979867], and I\u2019m hoping that Matthew will have his story told soon!<\/p>\n
