Intelligent, witty, sweet, and quirky, Dating-ish<\/i> was entertaining from the very first page. Well-thought-out, it\u00a0pushes the boundaries and makes you think differently about things. It’s honest and emotional and I loved every bit\u00a0of it.<\/p>\n

Marie is part of the Tuesday night knitting group that we have come to love, and after learning more about her as the series went on, I was excited to finally get my hands on her book. Marie\u00a0is down on her luck when it comes to love and has tried just about everything to find it, including\u00a0online dating which has turned up bad matches all around. Just when she decides to suspend her online dating profile, she gets a message with the name of her so-called perfect match. With high hopes that he will be “the one,” she goes to meet Derek, the man who should click instantly with her. The man who turns out to be all wrong in the right way.<\/p>\n

This story is impressive. \u00a0It made me ask questions while I tried to grasp the depth of the plot and characters that were so perfectly constructed. This book is unconventional, yet no less amazing than the other books in the series. The characters are flawed but realistic, different but relatable.<\/p>\n

I adored Marie and everything about her. She knows her faults and acknowledges them which makes her human and real.\u00a0I loved her determination when she put her mind to something and the dedication to learning the ins and outs of what interests her.\u00a0She didn’t hide behind her feelings but was honest with herself and it was refreshing.\u00a0She is genuine, caring, and a wonderful friend, and her strength and confidence was amazing.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy love is worth a lot. A. Lot. Because I know I\u2019m awesome.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Matt is a wonderfully complex character. He is a super smart computer scientist who focuses on artificial intelligence, and everything relating to his field was fascinating.\u00a0 He\u2019s not only gorgeous, but his mind is sexy too, and some of the things that come out of his mouth are hot! He\u2019s sensitive and his thoughts and emotions touched my heart.\u00a0Sometimes he has a hard time understanding and relating to things that are not in data form, even people, and I loved that it made his character vulnerable.\u00a0His childhood broke my heart and I understood where he was coming from and why he acted and believed the way he did.<\/p>\n

Though they seem so different – Marie wanting a long-term romantic relationship and Matt wanting to stay away from the expectations that come with one – they can’t deny the\u00a0connection between them. Able to move on from their initial negative first impressions, I loved the friendship that eventually forms as they spend time working alongside each other. They were wonderful together, challenging one another intellectually and showing support while trying to fully understand and accept who they are as individuals. I really enjoyed the smart\u00a0discussions with their witty and enlightening dialogue. \u00a0They make each other a better version of themselves and I loved the growth they go through as they realize that not everything is as black and white as they thought when it comes to the heart.<\/p>\n

Their feelings sort of sneak up on them and watching them put a smile on my face. The progression of their relationship felt natural, and with every moment they spend together, the sexual tension increased until it finally exploded into an intense and super steamy experience.<\/p>\n

As with the other books in the series, this story was packed with feeling. The ups and downs had my emotions all over the place. There were times that I laughed so hard that tears were streaming down my face. There was angst that put my stomach in knots and rattled my nerves, as well as heartbreaking scenes that tore me up inside. There were swoon-worthy parts that left me a puddle of goo on the floor and sweet moments that took my breath away. All the feels, good and bad, were worth it in the end, and the beautiful and amusing\u00a0epilogue was the icing on this delicious cake.<\/p>\n

I have to add that as usual,\u00a0the friendships between the women and men in the\u00a0Knitting in the City<\/i><\/a> series are solid and every interaction leaves me with a smile on my face. They help take away the pain each have gone through and their support and unconditional love means everything.<\/p>\n

Another winner in the series, I loved it!<\/p>\n

He not only felt right, he felt like he\u2019d been made especially for me. And I for him.
