Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words<\/em> will never harm me. <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Beautiful, perfect, and emotionally stunning…. again.<\/b><\/p>\n 5 stars!<\/strong><\/p>\n After reading the incredible The Darkest Sunrise<\/a>, I was desperate to get my hands on this book and the moment it arrived on my kindle I dropped everything to read it. And I regret nothing! This book (and this duet) is amazing, pure and simple. It\u2019s heart-clenching drama, raw emotion and incredible romance, and I loved every moment of it!<\/p>\n There\u2019s pretty much nothing I can say about the story without spoiling the first book, so this is going to be vague, but OMG, this book was everything I was hoping for. The continuation of Charlotte and Porter\u2019s story picks up from that heart-stopping moment where the first book left off, and drags us straight back into the heartwrenching chaos of their lives.<\/p>\n \u201cDamn it, Charlotte, we will find a way to make this work. This is my life. This is your life. This is his life. And her life. This is our life and you know it. We’ll figure out the details later, but for now, all I need from you is a promise that we are going to do this. No matter what. We’re in this together.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n My heart broke over and over but there are moment of lightness that make it all worth it, and it\u2019s all so real! I could understand and empathise with the characters, and I could feel everything that they were going through. I cried with them, laughed with them and loved with them, and I relished in it all. And in the midst of all of the emotional turmoil, there are sweet moments that absolutely melted my heart and made me fall even harder in love with these characters.<\/p>\n When I broke, Porter was there to pick up the pieces. The strength of these characters is matched by their huge hearts, and that is evidenced over and over again. They have a tumultuous road ahead of them, but their faith in each other, and in the feelings that they have for each other outweighs everything, and I loved watching them finally escape the darkness and find their light.<\/p>\n Charlotte quieted my storm. She extinguished the fire. And she soothed my demons. \u201cHe\u2019s shown me that there doesn\u2019t have to be light for something to be beautiful. Love can grow in the darkness \u2026 I know this is true because of him.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n This is a quick read, but it lacks for absolutely nothing and I read it in one sitting, unable to put it down.
