Violet is twenty-six and her life is a mess. \u00a0Jobless, homeless, and now boyfriend-less, she is stuck. She’s ready to do something so unlike her in hopes of kickstarting her life, so she decides she is going to have a one-night stand. When she picks the handsome man across the room she has no idea who he is but when she hears him speak, she knows that she\u2019s making the right choice.<\/p>\n

\nAccent confirmed. I have just hit the holy grail of potential one-night stands.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Jennings has no idea what to expect from the shy girl eyeing him from the bar but he can\u2019t resist her sweet pull. When she awkwardly gives him the opportunity for one night of passion, he can\u2019t refuse even if he he\u2019ll never see her again. Or so he thought.<\/p>\n

Violet has a twin sister, Daisy, who needs a favor. Though they are close as can be they are complete opposites but it doesn\u2019t change the fact that they would do anything for the other.<\/p>\n

Following rules is my jam. Breaking them is Daisy\u2019s.
\nSo why did I go along with this?
\nThis is sheer lunacy.
\nI\u2019m twenty-six years old. Way too old to be doing what is essentially a twin switchers.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Violet would have never imagined that pretending to be Daisy would put her in the direct path of Jennings again. She thinks it\u2019s awkward; he knows the fun is just starting. Now they will have plenty of time to get to know each other over the next week but what happens when not everything they say is true?<\/p>\n

I loved Sure Thing<\/em>. From the very first chapter I had a goofy grin on my face and my giddiness continued through the entire story. It has a unique plot and the characters are fun, flirty, and refreshing. Violet was a hoot. She was the more serious sister but she had a witty personality and was still so much fun. Her internal dialogue was entertaining and loved getting into her head.<\/p>\n

How does this happen? I mean really, why does this stuff happen to me? I set out to have a slutty one-nighter and I end up with a guy I\u2019m stuck with for a week. And I\u2019ll probably sleep with him again, so there goes my only one-night stand.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Jennings was fantastic. Sweet, handsome, and ridiculously sexy, he caught Violet\u2019s attention with one look and she was a goner the moment he opened his mouth. \u00a0And so was I. He is a genuinely nice guy who says amazingly sweet things but he also has a dirty, dirty mouth that is a total turn on. \u00a0I loved that he was interested in all of Violet and not just her body. He liked her personality and she was intriguing to him, making his attraction believable. I loved that he had a way of getting Violet to open up naturally and that he is determined to learn everything about her.<\/p>\n

She\u2019s hiding something from me and I don\u2019t like deceit. But the real problem is this: I\u2019m curious if it\u2019ll matter. Will whatever she\u2019s hiding be enough to break this spell she has on me?<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Jennings and Violet were fabulous together. Witty banter, delicious tension, and smokin\u2019 hot chemistry made for an entertaining connection. I thoroughly enjoyed watching them interact and get to know each other. The relationship progressed quickly but I loved the way they fit together. I didn\u2019t mind the insta-lust turned insta-love in this story because I got sucked into the whirlwind romance right along with them.<\/p>\n

With all the secrets floating around between Violet and Jennings it\u2019s only a matter of time before everything gets messed up; however, there is very little angst and things resolve fairly quickly. I enjoyed the way the story played out, and though the ending was a little cheesy, it was perfect! Overall, I loved this feel good, lighthearted book!<\/p>\n

I have to give a shout out to Daisy. She was great and I adored Violet and her relationship so much. Their connection was awesome and I loved their conversations. I would thoroughly enjoy a daisy book. *hint hint*<\/p>\n

“Mind if I join you?” <\/span><\/p>\n

I look up and he’s standing beside my seat, a drink in his hand that he uses to signal towards the empty seat beside me. And what was that? Did I detect an accent? I think I did, but I can’t be that lucky. I swallow my nerves and quickly run my eyes over him. Tall. Fit. Oxford shirt untucked, paired with a worn pair of jeans. Leather loafers on his feet and the hint of end-of-day scruff on his jaw. Thick, neatly cut, well-styled dark hair and expressive brown eyes watching me with interest.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I hope the drink is to your satisfaction.” He dips his head towards my beverage. “I asked the bartender to refresh you, but if you wanted something different\u2026” He trails off with a small frown at my glass.<\/span><\/p>\n

Oh.<\/span><\/p>\n

My.<\/span><\/p>\n

God.<\/span><\/p>\n

“You’re British,” I say, fighting the grin from my face. <\/span><\/p>\n

“I’ll take that as a yes,” he replies and sets his own drink on the bar top while resting on the stool beside me, his long legs bent slightly at the knees in order for his feet to rest on the floor. “Unless you have a problem with my country?” he inquires, brow raised and a small smile on his lips. <\/span><\/p>\n

Do you know what’s great about British men? <\/span><\/p>\n

Everything. <\/span><\/p>\n

I mean, I’ve never met one before this and they’re likely no different than American men, but the accent. It’s everything, right? You can say it’s a clich\u00e9 or whatever, but come on. It’s panty-meltingly good. I know he’s speaking the same language but the words just sound so much better falling from his lips. <\/span><\/p>\n

“I’m Jennings,” he says, extending a hand, and I almost laugh. Jennings? It’s obviously fake. This guy is too old to have a trendy millennial name like Jennings. Also, it sounds British for \u2018I’m giving you a fake name.\u2019 But fine, I’m game. <\/span><\/p>\n

“Rose,” I tell him and slip my hand into his. His hand engulfs mine and he’s not quick to withdraw, instead running his thumb gently over the back of my hand. I like the feeling a lot, the texture and warmth of his skin creating an immediate spark of interest in touching a whole lot more of him. <\/span><\/p>\n

“Rose,” he repeats, pausing and tilting his head a fraction as if he doesn’t believe me. He shouldn’t, it’s not my name. <\/span><\/p>\n
