Give me more and I’ll give you everything”

4.5 darkly sexy and intense stars

I happened to pick this book up as a freebie on Amazon and Oh. My. God, it blew me away! A beautifully written, emotionally intense erotic romance novel that is SO much more than just sex. It hooked me in from the very beginning and I was easily lost in the world of these amazing, well-developed characters, their secret desires, insane chemistry and sizzling passion. The first book in the New Camelot Trilogy brings us a beautifully heartfelt and emotional romance that is wicked and intense, and I couldn’t put it down.

Greer Galloway grew up in politics. As the grand-daughter of the ex-Vice President, she was taught how old her own, how to sit back and observe, expertly reading others, and most importantly – how to play the game. As a teenager she met Ash Colchester, a darkly sexual and enigmatic man, and that one meeting changes everything for her. Because Greer has desires that she has yet to explore, and she instinctively knows that Ash is the man who can fulfil them.

I want to go the brink of not knowing myself, I want someone to take me there and hold me by the neck and make me stare at an entire reckless realm of possibility.

Greer becomes fixated on Ash, falling in love with him from a distance, but not getting close to him again until ten years later when Ash has become the President of the United States, and he reaches out to her. But the man he uses to do that is Embry Moor, his closest friend, and a man who shares more than a passing history with Greer.

I won’t say any more because you just need to dive in and experience this one, and allow yourself to be taken on a wildly sexual and super-intense ride. This book is classed as erotica, but it balances the edge of romance, too, because there is a beautiful love story and a whole lot of emotion between the characters which makes everything even more intense. The writing is emotive and captivating, allowing you to feel the love and the desire that these characters feel for each other, and I was completely swept up in their story.

“You can own me because now I know I own you. Give me more and I’ll give you everything”

And whoa, there is hotness! There’s a strong Dom/sub theme, some M/M and M/F/M, but not too much kink, and though some of the goings on may cause some raised eyebrows , all participants are 100% on board for everything that happens and everything is absolutely consensual, and very much wanted. And it feels so right for them. And as the dynamics are explored, I was absolutely fascinated and completely sucked in to their story – wanting to see them find what they are looking for, and find a way to make it work.

Jealousy is a word with too many meanings. It’s a TARDIS of a word, bigger on the inside, a small, mean thing on the surface, but a complicated dance of emotions and negotiations within. I’m suffering with every single meaning of the word jealous.

“We know what happens when two people fall in love. It’s happened between each of us. We have to find out what happens when three people fall in love. All together, all at once.”

I loved this book. The story is interesting, the characters are intriguing, and it’s worth saying again that the writing is wonderful – smart and engaging with lots of emotion, but still crude and dirty where it needs to be, making the story feel like so much more than just your ordinary erotica book. Reminiscent of Tiffany Reisz’ Original Sinners series, I fell in love with the richness of it, and it makes this book something special.

The story progresses well but ends on a cliffhanger so make sure you have the next book handy! I can’t wait to continue on with this story.

4.5 stars.

New Camelot Trilogy

<div data-post-id="28230" class="insert-page
