‘Twas the weekend before Christmas, when all through the North End
\nNot a Walsh had his life together, not even his friends;
\nThe parties were planned by the foodies with care,
\nIn hopes that Wes and Erin would soon find their way there;
\nThe men were stressing over last minute shopping lists and plans,
\nWhile the ladies were busy with work and nesting and finding the right paella pans;<\/p>\n

When out in the dining room there arose such a clatter,
\nThe Halsted dogs sprang from their beds to see what was the matter;
\nThey whistled and shouted and called each other names,

Thank you, Kate Canterbary for giving us a surprise opportunity to check in with one of my favourite fictional families. Yes, the Walshes are gathering together for the holidays and there are shenanigans to be had – including possessive alpha males and the “women who own them<\/i>“, inappropriate staff meetings, communal underwear shopping and a whole lotta sexy time!<\/p>\n

Written (mostly) from the POV of the men of the series, we get the chance to catch up with each of the couples individually, as well as the family as a whole (always a wonderfully entertaining experience) in what is a fun, sexy and romantic epilogue-of-sorts for the series.<\/p>\n

In terms of story continuation for the series, this isn\u2019t a book that was needed because Preservation<\/a> finished off the series beautifully. But it does provide some further development\/closure for each of the couples and is a must-read for fans of the series who, like me, are desperate for any little glimpse of these beloved characters. We also get a bit of a hint of what could possibly be future spin offs to come, and I say bring it on!<\/p>\n

I loved this little read. It\u2019s a quick one, but one that had me grinning, laughing out loud and swooning all over again as Kate proves once again why these characters hold such a special place in my heart.<\/p>\n

Fantastic! 4.5 stars.<\/p>\n

About the Author<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Kate Canterbary doesn\u2019t have it all figured out, but this is what she knows for sure: spicy-ass salsa and tequila solve most problems, living on the ocean\u2013Pacific or Atlantic\u2013is the closest place to perfection, and writing smart, smutty stories is a better than any amount of chocolate.
