And I. LOVED. HIM!<\/p>\n Alex is a complicated character. There is much more to him than what is on the surface. He wasn\u2019t always hard. He had to adapt to the demands of the stardom and after his heart is crushed he went off the rails. I felt his pain and regret but sometimes when you are in too deep it feels impossible to escape the situation you\u2019re in and I felt that with Alex.<\/p>\n I was a semi-automatic weapon, fully loaded and ready to fire. I was my own downfall, and deep down, I knew it.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n He is troubled, pained, and has a lot to overcome before he can be the man he wants to be. The journey to healing is a dark and desperate one but\u00a0well worth it if he can get the girl in the end.<\/p>\n Indie is a strong, confident heroine who stands her ground. She has a reason to take the job and she isn\u2019t backing down. I was so sad reading about Indie’s family situation and I loved her more for everything she was doing to help the situation. She\u2019s fun, innocent in ways, and even awkward at times, making me like her even more. She\u2019s introverted and the job challenges her.\u00a0 I enjoyed watching her step out of her comfort zone while on tour. She doesn\u2019t expect to fall for Alex but she does and she falls hard, and as the end of the tour approaches, you see the heartache coming.<\/p>\n He was there, in front of me, his face so naked and raw, and at that moment, I didn\u2019t care that he\u2019d break me\u2026 We needed each other. Now. On this tour. Like air, and oxygen, and the pulse beneath our flesh.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n I liked the banter between Indie and Alex and the push and pull was entertaining. The sexual tension surrounding Indie and Alex was so well written. I felt the air sizzle whenever they were together.<\/p>\n \u201dYou look at me with dynamite in your eyes, waiting for me to light up the match and finally set you on fire.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n The slow progression of their relationship was real and I loved watching them open up to each other. They offer a reprieve from their troubles and they are able to be their true selves without judgement.<\/p>\n Every time Alex and Indie hinted at something happening in the future, the anticipation of what was to come grew exponentially. The nerve wracking, nail biting, and heart pounding moments kept me on edge. And then there was the twist! OMG I can\u2019t take it. I had no idea it was coming. I was so invested in these characters that when the bombshell was dropped, I broke.\u00a0 It destroyed me.<\/p>\n In the end, the heartache was worth the pain because I loved the way Alex and Indie\u2019s story plays out. There are so many roadblocks in their way that when they are finally able to grasp their HEA, I had happy tears in my eyes.
