I have one suggestion for reading this book…<\/p>\n

SWITCH OFF YOUR BRAIN, AND EMBRACE THE SMUT!<\/b><\/p>\n

Sophie needs a change. Her job is boring, and she is stifled in an unsatisfying marriage to her childhood sweetheart who is quite possibly cheating on her. So she applies for a job at Knight Inc., as PA to Lucien Knight, the king of a chain of sex stores and sex clubs across London. From their very first meeting at Sophie\u2019s job interview, Lucien is totally smooth but completely inappropriate and the whole thing would reek of sexual harassment in the real world. But this is fiction, and it\u2019s meant to be fun, flirty and playful, so I was happy to go with it.<\/p>\n

Accepting the job, Sophie\u2019s eyes are immediately opened to the big bad world of the sex industry, and this, plus the flirtation with her boss, allows a different, secretive side of her to come out, and she likes finds that she likes it. Being around the tall, sexy and outrageously flirty and seductive Lucien wakes her up, and she starts to feel things and act in ways that she never has before. The chemistry between the two of them is so strong, she knows straight away that if she stays working with him, something is going to happen between them, yet she runs straight for it.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy husband is having an affair, Lucien … And here’s the thing. Right at the moment, he’s God knows where with God knows who until next weekend, and I don\u2019t think I even care.\u201d
\n\u201cHe\u2019s a fucking fool\u201d
\nSophie shrugged and looked out of the window.
\n\u201cMaybe. He\u2019s avoided having sex with me for more than six months now.\u201d
\n\u201cI\u2019ll say it again. He\u2019s a fucking fool.\u201d
\n\u201cYes.\u201d
\n\u2026
\n\u201cWould it help if we fucked?\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

From this point on, the book is a total smut-fest! Whether they\u2019re talking about it, watching it, or doing it (mainly doing it), Lucien opens Sophie\u2019s eyes to everything that she has been missing in her sex life. And OH.MY.GOD.IT.IS.HOT!<\/p>\n

\u201cSex is natural.\u201d He trailed one finger down the valley between her breasts to her navel, making her stomach muscles jitter in response. \u201cAnd fucking beautiful.\u201d His clear blue eyes held hers. \u201cNow, forget everything else,\u201d he said, \u201cAnd Get. On. That. Bed.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Lucien – in addition to being completely fuckhot! – is a bit of a complex character and has his own reasons for \u2018helping\u2019 Sophie, and they make the agreement that she will spend the week with him while her husband is \u2018away on business\u2019. Lucien is keen to shock his demure and seemingly innocent PA, so he introduces her to the world of kink. But he\u2019s not all arrogant asshole – he has a sweet, protective side, and he watches her, reads her and what she needs, and has moments of tenderness that melted my heart a bit.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou deserve better. You deserve to be adored, and you deserved to be fucked until you can\u2019t stand up.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Told from both POVs, Sophie and Lucien\u2019s relationship is purely physical, although they obviously care for each other and have insane chemistry, and I really liked the dynamic between them. But neither of them consider their hook up to be a romantic one, and there is very little real emotion involved (on the plus side, this meant that there was no game playing and stupidness – thank God!). I had no idea where the story would end up, as it was pretty much all just smut until the very ending of the book where we started to get a bit more emotion, a bit of backstory, and a peek inside the heads of these characters<\/p>\n

\u201cSome time just after one and somewhere in between awake and asleep, Sophie moved beneath him again. Tangled limbs. Entwined fingers. Damp cheeks. Bruised hearts.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

There is no resolution to this intriguing story just yet, instead we are left with a cliffhanger which could have a number of different outcomes. I can\u2019t wait to find out what happens in the next book.<\/p>\n
