4 quick and fun stars<\/b><\/p>\n

This is a super-quick read, and a wonderful bonus for fans of the Fighting<\/i> series. It\u2019s a quick glimpse back into the lives of Jonah and Raven as they deal with a big moment \u2013 their 17-year-old daughter Sadie\u2019s first date. With none other than Jack Daniels \u2013 son of Blake and Layla.<\/p>\n

Jonah is a big badass with a soft and squishy centre and his protectiveness over his baby girl is freaking hilarious!<\/p>\n

He\u2019s still mumbling a string of profanity, throwing in phrases like, <\/i>my baby and <\/i>my life followed my gruesome threats of bodily harm.
\n\u201cJonah!\u201d I place my hand over his and squeeze. \u201cYou need to calm down.\u201d
\nHe turns to me, his eyes glistening with anger.
\n\u201cWhat is wrong with you?\u201d
\nHis thick black eyelashes make a slow pass over his eyes and he stills. \u201cShe\u2019s my baby girl\u2026\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And it\u2019s even funnier as Blake is dragged into the tension.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou listen to me, Vajonah,\u201d Blake yells into the phone. \u201cI swear to all that is good and holy in this world, if you flip your switch and lay a finger on my boy –\u201d
\n\u201cNo one is going to lay a finger on anyone!\u201d I say to both men.
\nJonah grows even more tense. \u201cYou bet your ass no one is going to lay a finger on anyone!\u201d He leans close so Blake can hear him. \u201cYou warn your boy that whatever he does to Sadie he can guarantee I\u2019ll do to him with my fucking fist, you hear me?!\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Classic!<\/p>\n

And the little glimpse we get of Jack and Sadie together is gorgeous. Best friends since childhood, everything is about to change for them. And it looks like we\u2019ll get to see more of them in their own book (squee!).<\/p>\n

I loved the chance to go back and revisit with these characters. Jonah and Raven are just as in love and hot for each other as always (*fans self*), and it was gorgeous catching up with them again and seeing them in this new stage of their lives.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s my baby. But, I wouldn\u2019t want to deny her finding what we have.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

There\u2019s also a hint of a future rockstar romance spin off for Jesse Lee, and I\u2019m really excited for whatever is to come next.<\/p>\n
