4.5 Smut-tastic stars<\/strong><\/p>\n

Holy hell, Kresley Cole writes some good smut, and she has outdone herself with this one! The second in The Game Maker <\/i>series, this book features Russian billionaire, politician and Mafya boss, Maksimilian Sevastyan (brother of Aleksander from book 1 \u2013 The Professional. Maxim and Cat\u2019s story is hot and heavy, but still with some emotion, and I absolutely loved it!<\/p>\n

Maksim is ruthless and demanding. He knows what he wants and he gets it \u2013 both in business and in his personal life – and he likes his women tall, blonde and submissive. So when he orders an escort while on a business trip to Miami, he is stunned and unhappy when a sassy, opinionated, pleasure-seeking latina bombshell lands on his doorstep.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy don\u2019t we take tonight as it comes? See where it leads us?\u201d See where I can lead you. \u201cI promise we\u2019ll both be satisfied.\u201d

Cat is a survivor. From a life of privilege, her world spiralled out of control, leaving her on the run, living with dangerous secrets and trusting nobody. Needing money and with nowhere else to turn, she agrees to stand in for a friend for a one-night turn at escorting \u2013 with a guarantee of enough money to get her out of town for good. Warring with herself about what she is about to do, she is terrified, but one glance of the hot Russian in the penthouse has her body in a tingle, and she realises that she just may enjoy her evening.<\/p>\n

And hell yeah, she does! So does Maksim \u2013 more than he ever expected to. In fact, his perfectly ordered existence is thrown into complete disarray by Cat. He is used to people being intimidated by him and obeying his every command, but there is something about the fiery, back-chatting sex-pot that he can\u2019t get enough of. So in his true, controlling manner, after their night together is over he drags Cat back to his hotel room for more.<\/p>\n

OMFG, this book is SO freaking hot. The sex is insane! Hot, passionate, frequent and descriptive, and there is lots of it! Kresley Cole has got a great imagination and she mixes things up to keep it interesting, with a bit of kink thrown in (although not to the level of the last book). Maksim and Cat are absolutely sizzling together, both with dirty mouths, and both very open to exploring everything that they can experience together. Just\u2026. Damn!<\/p>\n

\u201cSpread your legs.\u201d When I did, he stared at my pussy. \u201cThis is mine now.\u201d He met my gaze, telling me, \u201cI own it. Just as I own you. I\u2019m your master now, Katya.\u201d <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And with that insane connection that they share, they can\u2019t help but develop strong feelings for each other. But Cat hasn\u2019t opened up about her past and it\u2019s those secrets that just may tear them apart, but it all adds a nice amount of drama to the story.<\/p>\n

The book is written entirely from Cat\u2019s POV, and she\u2019s a great heroine. I loved her spunk, and the way she dealt with Maksim and the situation that she was in. And I loved watching him through her eyes \u2013 the slow loosening up of the detached control freak as he starts to fall for her. I thought the progression of things between them was done really well.<\/p>\n

Be aware going into this that it is very strongly erotica. There is a love story, and it\u2019s a gorgeous one, but it\u2019s pretty much all about the sex, and the wonderful interplay between these two fantastic characters. So if that\u2019s what you\u2019re in the mood to read, you won\u2019t be disappointed!<\/p>\n

Sexy, romantic, and so funny, this book is highly entertaining. I loved it and can\u2019t wait for the next book \u2013 hopefully featuring the third brother, mysterious Dimitri.<\/p>\n
