Liz Dougherty works for the college newspaper and has the opportunity to attend Senator Brady Maxwell\u2019s press conference. When she is chosen to ask one question, she could never imagine the impact it would have on her life when it puts her in Brady\u2019s line of sight. Liz is fascinated by this suit wearing bad boy and Brady is intrigued by the girl who stumped him.<\/p>\n

Off the Record<\/i>, the first book in the Record<\/i><\/a> series by K.A. Linde, sucks you in with its intriguing characters, forbidden romance, and fast-paced storyline. It\u2019s sexy, seductive, clever, and addictive, and I loved it!<\/p>\n

Liz and Brady have opposing political views but it doesn\u2019t stop the intense connection the feel when they are together. Brady is charming, bold, and confident. \u00a0He oozes power and he isn\u2019t afraid of letting Liz know what he wants.\u00a0Liz is hardworking and determined to become a successful journalist and doesn’t want to do anything that can jeopardize her career. She is hesitant to start anything but she can\u2019t deny the pull he has over her.<\/p>\n

To satisfy their cravings they begin a secret relationship that no one can know about without risking both their jobs and reputations. They know it can\u2019t really lead to anything serious but they are willing to enjoy each other while they can.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m giving you what I can give you, and I\u2019m telling you in advance you might get hurt. But it\u2019s worth it to take the risk. I can damn well promise you it\u2019s worth the risk.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I love forbidden romances and this one is exciting and well-written. Seductive, steamy, and full of angst, I got caught up in this whirlwind romance. Liz and Brady are so good together. We see more of what each character stands for as the story unfolds and I love how they unnerve each other. Off the charts chemistry and secretive sexy times light the pages on fire while witty banter and sweet moments make you root for these two.<\/p>\n

I have to add that there is a bit of a love triangle as hinted at in the blurb. I don’t usually love triangles but this one wasn’t too painful. However, there were definitely times where I wanted to scream at Liz, my frustration mounting with some of her actions.<\/p>\n

\nI hated that she was sending so many mixed signals to Hayden. She was hypocritical when she got mad and jealous if Brady was seen with another girl but she was way too close with Hayden and didn\u2019t even tell Brady who she was with when she left for a weekend. I get that you can be confused but it went on a little too long for my taste when she knew where her heart was. <\/div><\/div>\n

The ending surprised me because I didn\u2019t know what was coming but it leads into the second book well and it isn\u2019t overly dramatic.<\/p>\n

Overall, Off the Record<\/i> was an awesome start to a new series and I cannot wait for more! Up next,\u00a0On the Record.<\/em><\/p>\n
