It\u2019s Freshman year at Waylon University when Delaney finds herself at a bonfire party where she catches the eye of a super attractive guy who turns out to be the star defensive linebacker for the university. She\u2019s not big into guys who are players, both on and<\/i> off the field, and he seems to be just that, especially when he disappears after giving her a single kiss and leaves her to ponder the legend he shared.<\/p>\n

\u201cLegend says the first person you kiss at the party is the one you\u2019ll never forget. It may be years later, and still their face is the one you dream about.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Two years later Delaney is nursing a broken heart. After her football player boyfriend cheats, she swears off athletes for good. Little does she know that there\u2019s another athlete waiting to make her his.<\/p>\n

I loved I Dare You<\/i>. It is such a fun read that was lighthearted yet full of depth. I loved the characters and the premise of the story which was entirely entertaining.<\/p>\n

Delaney is sweet, fun and a total nerd, and I adored her. She is talented, unique, and not afraid to be who she is. It was delightful that she loved everything about Star Wars, The Princess Bride, and cats. Her quirkiness put a smile on my face and I couldn’t wait to see what she would wear or bring up next.<\/p>\n

Maverick is a smoking hot star football player who has big dreams to play for the NFL and is such a great guy. He cares so much for his family and is willing to do anything to help out where he is needed. I understood his drive to succeed and his situation broke my heart. I wish he didn\u2019t have to carry so much on his shoulders. He is bold and confident while still being vulnerable and it made me like him more and made his character believable.<\/p>\n

I enjoyed the text messages between Delaney and Maverick and loved that she had no idea it was him. Watching them get to know each other and seeing her slowly fall for him as a friend and also fall for him as the mystery man was exciting.<\/p>\n

He is a rollercoaster, dangerous and exhilarating; my brain is telling me to jump off and save myself, but my heart yearns to ride it to the end to see if I live or die. <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I felt their connection from the minute they met. She is hesitant to start anything but I am glad that she opened up to Maverick. I loved that he didn\u2019t give up on Delaney and went after he. He respected her but still let her know how he felt and never pressured her. The sexual tension built deliciously and I couldn\u2019t wait for them to finally dive into what they both knew they wanted.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is crazy,\u201d I murmur.
\n\u201cCrazy good,\u201d is his reply.
\n\u201cIt\u2019s probably a mistake,\u201d I add.
\n\u201cBest fucking mistake ever,\u201d he says. <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

There were secrets and heartache along the way but in the end they were meant to be and I loved Delaney and Maverick together.<\/p>\n
