This is a great little novella that fits into the Until<\/i> series, but can also be read as a standalone. It\u2019s not a novella that you need to read to follow the series, but is a fun little extra as November\u2019s Dad, Mike, gets the happy ending he wasn\u2019t even looking for.<\/p>\n

Mike had a bad experience with love, but he\u2019s happy now being a part of November\u2019s life, and a member of the extended Mayson family, without having to think about a new relationship.<\/p>\n

Kathleen has just returned to town, the divorced single mother to an almost-18 year old. She\u2019s had a rough time, but she\u2019s not prepared to give up on finding somebody to share her life with.<\/p>\n

Mike and Kate went to high school together and when they reunite they fall into a \u2018friends with benefits\u2019 situation. But Kat slowly comes to the realisation that that isn\u2019t enough anymore, that she wants \u2013 and deserves \u2013 more.<\/p>\n

This is such a sweet romance! Like the rest of the books in the Until<\/i> series, it\u2019s angst free, allowing us to revel in the sweet sexiness of the romance as Mike and Kat decide to make a real go of it.<\/p>\n

I loved Mike and Kat as characters. They are straightforward and no-nonsense, and their openness with each other was gorgeous. I loved that Kat had the courage to follow her heart and tell Mike what she wanted, putting what she already had at risk for something potentially greater, and thank God, it worked for her! And Mike stole my heart as the sweet, yet seriously hot Grandpa \u2013 which sounds all kinds of wrong, but damn is he sexy!<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ve been mine since you walked back into my life.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I also love how Kat\u2019s son, Brandon, became such a big part of the story. He is dealing with some pretty heavy issues, and he and Mike together are something really special as Mike is there for him in just the way he needs. Their relationship unfolds beautifully and is a fantastic part of the book. And, of course, November and the rest of the Mayson crew all have an appearance, and I loved seeing all of them.<\/p>\n

Kat and Mike\u2019s love story is a gorgeous little read and I finished this novella with a big grin on my face at the sweet swooniness of it all.<\/p>\n

I loved it \u2013 4 stars.<\/p>\n
