How can such a heartwrenching read be so much fun? <\/b><\/p>\n

I freaking loved it! 4.5 stars!<\/strong><\/p>\n

After falling in mad love with Tangled<\/a> when it was released, I admit that I was terrified by the idea of this follow up. I had heard rumours and wasn\u2019t sure whether I wanted to go subject myself to it, instead finishing off Drew and Kate\u2019s story in my head the way I wanted to. But I\u2019m so glad I was finally curious and brave enough to dive into this one because I loved it! Sure, it\u2019s not the direction that I wanted their story to take, but people make mistakes, and I loved watching them work through it all. This is an emotional and dramatic read, but still with the humour and fun that Emma Chase is so good at, and I loved the story.<\/p>\n

This book picks up two years after the ending of Tangled<\/i>. Drew and Kate are together, in love and committed, still having fun together and still as passionate about each other as always \u2013 those opening scenes are so freaking hot!<\/p>\n

\u201cGet that delectable ass in the shower so we can go. The sooner we eat, the quicker we can come back here and fuck till the sun comes up.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This book is written entirely in Kate\u2019s POV, which I loved, as we got to see their relationship from a different perspective as they live out their HEA\u2026 until it all goes wrong. And when I say it goes wrong, I mean that it goes horribly, explosively wrong. I was shocked, my heart broke, and I honestly couldn\u2019t believe what I was reading. And Drew, the man who stole my heart so completely\u2026 all I can say is that I was so, so disappointed. I\u2019m disappointed in the lack of communication, I\u2019m disappointed with the jumping to conclusions, and I\u2019m SUPER disappointed in the way that he chose to \u2018deal with it\u2019. OMG, so much disappointment!<\/p>\n

I should have known better. Arguing with Drew is like dealing with a terrorist. He has no boundaries; nothing\u2019s off limits. There are no depths he won\u2019t sink to to win.<\/i><\/p>\n

Drew Evans doesn\u2019t burn bridges. He sets dynamite to them. Decimating the bridge, the mountains it connects, and any other living thing unlucky enough to be within a fifty-mile radius.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But it provides an opportunity for us to get to know Kate as she retreats and heads back home to reanalyse her life and figure out what her future holds, and as much as Drew completely stole my heart in the first book, I loved that we got to see this part of Kate because OMG, I just love her!! She is smart, funny, sensible and a bit of a badass, and I loved being inside of her head for a while. And along with Kate comes her best friends, Dee Dee and Billy. Yes that<\/i> Billy \u2013 Kate\u2019s ex and thorn in Drew\u2019s side. But I have to say, seeing him and Kate together as friends, he really grew on me. And add Dee Dee to the mix, and it\u2019s a recipe for rude, crude, filterless fun \u2013 and a whole lot of support and love as Kate works to get through all that she\u2019s going through.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s also a lot of soul-searching to be done, and my heart ached for Kate. And the glimpses of Drew suffering were heartwrenching (even though he totally deserves it). It\u2019s a bit of an emotional rollercoaster, but the resolution is WELL worth the wait!<\/p>\n

Of course our hero comes through in the end, proving his love and fighting for his girl, and OMG it was fantastic! Swoony, emotional and so, so romantic, I think that scene will be etched into my memory for a long time.<\/p>\n

He yells, “I want any part of you that you\u2019re willing to give me!”
\nWe both fall quiet. Breathing hard. Staring each other down. And his voice drops low. Defeated. “I\u2019ll take anything, Kate. Just . . . don\u2019t tell me it\u2019s over. I won\u2019t accept that.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

*swooooooooooooon*!!!!<\/div><\/div>\n

\u201cI love you, Kate. Everything that\u2019s good in my life, and anything that really matters is only there because of you. If we hadn\u2019t met? I\u2019d be fucking miserable \u2013 and probably too clueless to even realize it.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This was a strange read for me. Usually this kind of storyline would turn me off, and I haven\u2019t read this book before now for that very reason. But I loved this book! Yes, the argument was stupid and everything would have been different if they just TALKED. TO. EACH. OTHER! But the WAY they handled everything after the big event, the insight we got into Kate, and their relationship, and the way it was all resolved, made a really great read.<\/p>\n

Loved it, and so, so happy that I got to experience this couple all over again.<\/p>\n
