Rude, crude, sexy and romantic, laugh-out-loud-funny and hilariously entertaining, I freaking love this book!<\/p>\n

Described as a \u201cscrewball\u201d comedy, this is not the kind of book you listen to while working. I tried, and almost choked to death on coffee that I was desperately trying not to spray all over my desk when I started laughing. It is seriously funny, in a completely irreverent kind of way (my favourite), so much fun and so damn entertaining!<\/p>\n

Brynn is recently divorced and feeling really down on herself. Her marriage was unsatisfying, she\u2019s put on weight, and she\u2019s feeling a bit lost. In an effort to have her regain the land of the living, her best friends drag her out in attempt to meet a man that is the complete opposite of the type she usually goes for.<\/p>\n

\u201cExplain your type again.\u201d Ash says. \u201cLet\u2019s define the problem.\u201d
\nI squint my eyes, because everyone knows that makes you smarter. I didn\u2019t know I had a type, but when I look back at my few exes over the years\u2026 yeah, there seems to be a pattern. \u201cFrail-looking, vegetarian or gluten free, intellectual, ironic, good hygiene.\u201d
\nSadie and Ash just look at me for a beat. \u201cThank God we\u2019re helping you.\u201d Ash says. \u201cI mean, what the fuck? Why didn\u2019t we notice this before?\u201d
\nSadie is nodding.
\nAsh says, \u201cso we just need to find someone who\u2019s huge, a carnivore, doesn\u2019t talk, smells manly and\u2026 what\u2019s the opposite of ironic?\u201d
\n\u201cI have no idea. Let\u2019s simplify it. We\u2019re looking for a man, instead of what you\u2019ve been attracted to.\u201d
\n\u201cWhat have I been attracted to?\u201d
\n\u201cGwyneth Paltrow I\u2019m pretty sure. And every time I see her on TV, I just want to kick her.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

So having been dragged to a party and feeling completely out of her league, Brynn spies her ex and his new girl, and, driven by rage, alcohol and the insistence of her girlfriends, she literally runs straight into the arms of the first man she sees \u2013 rugged, masculine, manly-man Tom.<\/p>\n

Tom is big, tough and gorgeous with work boots, flannel shirts and, yes, a beard. He works with his hands and is a minor celebrity with his own home renovation show, but he is incredibly down to earth. He\u2019s had a rough time recently and is currently on hiatus from his show and hiding out from everybody in his life, and is reluctantly attending a party thrown by his best friend when a gorgeous stranger literally hurls herself at him, and he\u2019s only too happy catch her\u2026<\/p>\n

Over my ten years as a host for Mr. Fixit Quick, I\u2019ve had my share of crazy moments. You\u2019d think I\u2019d learn that when a body in motion comes charging toward me, I\u2019d have the sense to maybe step out of the way. But noooooo. Nope. No. I brace myself like I\u2019m back in high school, and I\u2019m a defensive back. I see her coming, and I\u2019m like, \u201cFuck yeah. I\u2019ve got this, coach.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Brynn and Tom instantly lock lips, and then he drags her off to the boat house where they proceed to have the hottest sex that either of them have experienced. It\u2019s all kinds of steamy and all kinds of intense, and it\u2019s over all too quickly for both of them. And then Brynn runs off, leaving Tom with no idea who she is or how to contact her.<\/p>\n

But when they are reunited once again, it sets them off on a fantastically fun, twisty journey that is full of awkwardness, banter, flirting, lots of hot, passionate sex, a fake engagement, and a dick with its own monologue, and it\u2019s a wildly hilarious ride! There\u2019s no game playing or stupid behaviour, it\u2019s just Tom and Brynn figuring it all out, as their unexpected but gorgeous love story plays out.<\/p>\n

Maybe it\u2019s just that this woman is the answer to a wish I hadn\u2019t known I\u2019d made.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I loved this book so much! I was in the mood for something light, but I wasn\u2019t expecting to love this one as much as I did. This book is full of laugh-out-loud moments, sweetness and sexy times, with characters that I absolutely adore and a love story that had me squeeing with delight! Brynn\u2019s mad friends Ash and Sadie are also fabulous, and an absolute riot, and I\u2019m really excited to continue on with this series and get their stories.<\/p>\n

Fantastic fun! 4.5 stars.<\/p>\n

P.S. The audiobook is narrated by Erin Mallon and Luke Daniels. Erin is fabulous as always and Luke Daniels is a new-to-me-narrator, and oh my God, he is sensational! His voice is all kinds of rugged and manly, seriously sexy, yet he does the emotional stuff well, and he\u2019s so freaking funny! I would absolutely recommend listening to this one!<\/p>\n
