Get the fan out because this book it HOT!\u00a0Once Upon a Real Good Time<\/em>\u00a0promises just that and it did not disappoint. This book is all kinds of fun. From the wicked banter, filthy words, and freaking hot sexy times to the sweet nothings and swoony moments, this book not only turns up the heat, it brings on the laughs and feels.<\/p>\n

Mackenzie is a graphic designer who has a thirteen-year-old son named Kyle. She is independent, confident, and successful but her sex life has fallen by the wayside as she spends her time as a working mom.\u00a0Campbell, who once played alongside his two brothers in the well-known band called the Heartbreakers<\/i>, left the rock star life to raise\u00a0his daughter, Samantha. He is happier now leading a low profile life, teaching talented kids, and playing for fun.<\/p>\n

When Campbell and Mackenzie catch each other\u2019s eyes during one of Campbell\u2019s sets, there is an instant spark. Soon they are\u00a0“on a fast track for a decadent one-night stand, with this dizzying rush of going from flirting to nearly fucking in an hour,” <\/em>and\u00a0their night turns out to be a real good time. So good in fact that they want more but when Campbell turns out to be Mackenzie\u2019s son\u2019s new violin teacher things come to a screeching halt. However, the attraction doesn\u2019t just disappear and the chemistry remains electric. It is obvious that it\u2019s only a matter of time before they can\u2019t keep their hands off of each other.<\/p>\n

It feels like I took a different turn down the road. Like we started with raw heat, and we sped through rough-and-fast land, and now we\u2019ve veered someplace else entirely. We\u2019re driving down a new road, and this one\u2019s a little more dangerous, but it\u2019s fantastic in its own way.

\nIt\u2019s more intimate.

Mackenzie and Campbell are functional, mature, and their feelings are realistic making them relatable and endearing. I saw them falling while still trying to be the best parents they could be and doing what they thought was best for Kyle and Samantha. I felt the beautiful love in their hearts and I saw it in everything they did for the kids.<\/p>\n

They still gave into their wants and desires which made for a very sexy, very hot read. It’s also so funny at times that I couldn’t hep but laugh-out-loud while simultaneously warming my heart with all the sweet, mushy stuff.<\/p>\n

I adored the secondary characters too. From the sweet kids to the hilarious best friends, I loved them all!! And I can\u2019t wait for more of the\u00a0Heartbreakers. Miller\u2019s and Miles\u2019 books are coming soon!<\/p>\n

Overall, this wonderfully light-hearted, feel good read is sweet, swoony, and super steamy, and I couldn\u2019t get enough!<\/p>\n
