Damn, I love these books! I was a big fan of The Original Sinners<\/i> Red Years books, but Tiffany Reisz has given us something truly special with the continuation of her series into the White Years. She has taken what was already a fantastic story and is now giving us glimpses of the characters beyond the original books, while at the same time giving us the background and detail which ties everything together and makes the whole thing even more amazing. I actually prefer these books to the originals, and this book continues the journey.<\/p>\n

The book starts with the gang all gathered in Scotland to celebrate a wedding (yes, Scotland \u2013 complete with Kingsley and S\u00f8ren in kilts\u2026. *wipes drool*). The night before the nuptials, Nora, S\u00f8ren and Kingsley all settle down to do some reminiscing, with Nora and Kingsley finally opening about the time they both left S\u00f8ren for a year \u2013 something they never talked about before.<\/p>\n

The story follows Nora and Kingsley as, broken hearted, they both run from the man they love, and from each other, and experience a year which left them both changed in ways they could never have imagined.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a dark and stormy night…And I was leaving you. Forever.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Broken and lost, Elle escapes to the only place that she knows the men in her life can\u2019t find her – her mother\u2019s convent. It\u2019s about as far away as she can get from the lifestyle that has come to define her, but the quiet monotony is exactly what she needs to heal and plan for her future. And it is there, sequestered away, that she forms an incredibly special relationship with a young nun who is spirited and inquisitive, and who will make a very important contribution to Elle\u2019s life.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, there was a nun in my bed,\u201d Nora said with a sigh.
\n\u201cThis is my favourite story already,\u201d Kingsley said. \u201cGo on.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Aaaahhhh, Kingsley. How I love him! His devastation over Nora leaving and his anger at S\u00f8ren sets him off on a journey of his own. He randomly travels around the world before eventually ending up in Haiti where he meets a very smart and sassy Juliette. We don\u2019t really know a lot about Juliette, and I was very pleasantly surprised at the confident, sassy and outspoken woman. She and Kingsley share an immediate attraction, and the dynamic between them is absolutely electric!<\/p>\n

\u201cI hate to tell you this,\u201d she said with an apologetic smile, \u201cbut I don\u2019t think you\u2019re as special as you think you are.\u201d
\n\u201cThat only hurts because it\u2019s true. You really like me? A little?\u201d
\n\u201cUn peu<\/i>. Enough that I want to talk to you instead of letting me fuck you,\u201d she said.
\n\u201cOh,\u201d he said, and weighed his words. \u201cBut we are still going to fuck, right?\u201d
\nJuliette smiled again. And in her flawless elegant Frenchy she purred two beautiful words.
\n\u201cBien sur.\u201d
\nOf course.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I love, love, love this part of the story! Juliette is not in a good place, but she is unable to resist the sexy Frenchman who relentlessly pursues her, and their connection very quickly deepens into life-changing love. It\u2019s so much more significant than I ever could have imagined for them, and their romance is really beautiful.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy Jewel, I can\u2019t give you my whole heart. But the part of it I can give you is the part that isn\u2019t scarred and isn\u2019t broken. I\u2019ll give you the best of me and protect you from the worst for the rest of my life.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And as the stories of their past unfold, once again it makes everything that we have already read in the series SO much more meaningful! These are characters that we know and love. We know their stories, we know their relationships, and we know where they end up – watching all of that develop is fantastic!<\/p>\n

And every little moment is important. Even those you think aren\u2019t important, actually are, as these characters play off with and against each other. And each little interaction further defines their identity and their relationships \u2013 physical, emotional and mental. It\u2019s so cleverly done.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve always been intrigued by the Nora\/Kingsley relationship, and I loved getting the chance to explore that in more detail. They have been through so much and their love for each other goes deeper than I ever realised. I loved seeing that.<\/p>\n

No two people in history had Kingsley and Nora\u2019s history. With everything they\u2019d put each other through, they\u2019d had two choices \u2013 hate each other or love each other. They were so much alike, hating each other would have been like hating themselves. And both of them were rather too self-important for that sort of nonsense.
\nSo they picked love.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Of course there\u2019s lots of sex and kink, as you would expect, but it\u2019s such a representation of who these people are, and how they relate to each other. It\u2019s such an important part of the story, and even though this is erotica, it\u2019s not gratuitous in any way \u2013 that\u2019s not to say that it\u2019s not smoking hot or highly enjoyable, because that scene with Nora in the back seat of a limo with Griffin, Kingsley and S\u00f8ren\u2026. DAMN! But again, it represents an important progression of relationships – particularly in this book as we start to see the emergence of Nora (as opposed to Eleanor or Elle) as she starts to discover who she really is. And OMG, those scenes are intense!<\/p>\n

Brilliantly written as always, this is another fantastic addition to The Original Sinners<\/i> series as the incredible story of these characters gets better and better the more we learn. I can\u2019t wait for the next instalment which will hopefully fill in the remaining years and finally give us the complete picture of this amazing story.<\/p>\n

I loved it \u2013 5 stars.<\/p>\n
