I really enjoyed this novella, a super sweet, functional and intense romance \u2013 the kind that KA does so well. I didn’t even know I wanted Rosalie’s story until I read this, and her and Snapper\u2019s story is just gorgeous.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re a Chaos<\/i> fan, you may remember Rosalie, she was Shy\u2019s ex-hookup\/girlfriend, the one that he let go of when Tabby came along and their epic love story began in Own the Wind<\/a>. Well, Rosalie was left broken-hearted but she quietly walked away and picked herself up, soon finding herself in a relationship with a biker from another MC. Bounty is a rival club of Chaos\u2019, and when she realises that her man is getting himself into deep trouble, she turns to Chaos for help. She truly believes she is doing the right thing, but when the Bounty boys discover that she has been informing on them to Chaos, they take retribution into their own hands, leaving Rosalie brutally battered and sworn off men \u2013 especially bikers.<\/p>\n

Snapper is a Chaos brother. He\u2019s shy and quiet and is an absolute sweetheart, and he\u2019s also in love with Rosalie. He fell for her when she was with Shy, and when he was assigned as her club contact while she was feeding info to Chaos, the two of them grew close over long phone calls, shared jokes and meaningful conversations. Snap has claimed Rosalie as his, she just doesn\u2019t know it yet, and he has a battle on his hands to bring her around.<\/p>\n

\u201cI fell for you when you were Shy\u2019s and if you think that now, when you need me most, now, when I finally got a clear shot, I\u2019m givin\u2019 up, think again, Rosie.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This is such a sweet romance. Snapper is a genuinely good guy, he\u2019s sweet, kind, gentle and patient with Rosalie, working to gain her trust and be there for her. But he doesn\u2019t hold back how he\u2019s feeling or what he wants from her, and his open, big-hearted honesty is just gorgeous!<\/p>\n

\u201cFor years, you\u2019ve had a rough ride \u2026 I\u2019m the man who\u2019s gonna do you right, Rosalie. With me, that rough ride is gonna end, baby.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

As a mad Shy and Tabby lover, I was never a Rosalie fan, but I really liked her in her own story. We get to know her, her family and her background, coming to understand her, who she is and how she came to be that way, and I was so happy to see her finally find the right man for her.<\/p>\n

\u201cLife, Rosie,\u201d he said gently, \u201cis not about goin\u2019 it alone. It\u2019s about finding the right people to share it with who will make it better when it\u2019s good and be there to hold you steady when it\u2019s not.\u201d <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

These two are so gorgeous together. It\u2019s a sweeter, softer romance than we are used to seeing from the Chaos boys, but it still fits in well with the series, and I really enjoyed this addition to the Chaos family.<\/p>\n

The 1001 Dark Nights novellas are meant to be standalones, but I\u2019m finding more and more that they aren\u2019t. You would be missing a lot of context with this one if you haven\u2019t read the earlier books in the series, and it ends on a bit of a cliffhanger that will most likely be resolved in future books, so just be aware of that before diving in.<\/p>\n

I loved it. 4 stars.<\/p>\n
