Am I Peyton? Or me? Do I remind him I\u2019m asking for a friend? It was in the profile though. The description closed with \u201casking for a friend,\u201d for Pete\u2019s sake.<\/span><\/p>\n

It must be obvious.<\/span><\/p>\n

Okay, fine, maybe he thinks I meant it to be tongue-in-cheek.<\/span><\/p>\n

Someone could certainly read it as tongue-in-cheek.<\/span><\/p>\n

Because the entire saying is tongue-in-cheek, and no one is ever asking for a friend\u2014they\u2019re asking for themselves.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ugh.<\/span><\/p>\n

So I was only honest on a technicality.<\/span><\/p>\n

My stomach swoops, and a teeny bit of guilt weaves through me.<\/span><\/p>\n

Who am I kidding? This is a massive, crushing tsunami of guilt.<\/span><\/p>\n
