Rain and Wes are back, and now that April 23rd has come and gone and the world didn\u2019t end as expected, they have to figure out what to do next as they face a whole new way of life. However, just because they didn\u2019t die on April 23rd doesn\u2019t mean they are suddenly safe. New dangers threaten their lives and push the hope for a future further from their grasps.<\/p>\n

I love the Rain Trilogy<\/i> <\/a>and Fighting for Rain<\/i> is an exciting, fast-paced addition to the story. It\u2019s an emotional rollercoaster as Wes and Rain fight for survival once more, and just like the first book, it is unputdownable!<\/p>\n

Nothing is easy in the chaotic world left over after the so-called apocalypse came and went, and Rain and Wes find themselves reminiscing about the past, surviving the now, and fearing the future. There is so much at stake but they can handle anything as long as they are together. And I love them together! There\u2019s no questioning their strong connection or intense love because it feels real and it is easy to root for them.<\/p>\n

The only time I feel truly alive is when I\u2019m kissing this man. He\u2019s like a live wire\u2014calm and quiet on the outside but a raging electrical storm within. <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Just when Rain and Wes think they find safety among other survivors, they face new threats. Things get more complicated within the group as well as between Rain and Wes. Obstacles get in the way of them being together and risk their lives further. It\u2019s frustrating and maddening, and for a little while these two are pulled so far apart that you don\u2019t know if they will find their way back to each other, and it is seriously distressing.<\/p>\n

The emotion in this story is all over the place. Not only was I heartbroken over what these two have to go through to be together, but the pain of their pasts that nearly paralyze them is crushing. The fear is real, as is the confusion of what is happening around them. There are a lot of unknowns at the beginning of the book and when a huge truth is revealed, it\u2019s shocking. I loved the twist and I can\u2019t wait to see how the rest of the story unfolds.<\/p>\n

Overall, Fighting for Rain<\/i> is an addictive, intense, and suspenseful read that will keep you on the edge of your seat and leave you desperate for more because OMG, that ending! Dying for Rain<\/i> com’t come soon enough and I am counting down the days because I need more!!<\/p>\n

Something clicks inside my heart. I feel it, like a fresh battery being snapped into place, and I realize that the aching, echoing hole in my chest\u2014the one I\u2019ve lived with my whole fucking life\u2014wasn\u2019t there because I was empty.
\nIt was there so that Rain could reach in and fix me.
