Add to Goodreads<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n 3.5 stars<\/b><\/p>\n This is cute, steamy read \u2013 a fast-paced romance with all of the fun and intensity that I have come to expect from Aurora Rose Reynolds.<\/p>\n Dakota is very reluctantly set up on a blind date, and is thrilled when she meets the handsome man waiting for her outside of a coffee shop. Their date is fantastic, their connection is real, and their night together ends in mind-blowing sex. But in the morning she learns that the man who rocked her world so thoroughly the night before is not actually the date she was there to meet. Oops.<\/p>\n It\u2019s such a fun set-up, and I was right on board as Dakota and Braxton deal with the fallout from the epic misunderstanding. Despite all that she was<\/i> starting to feel for him, Dakota is furious, embarrassed and feels betrayed, while Braxton is smitten and wants more. And what Braxton wants, he usually gets. Let the fun begin!<\/p>\n \u201cThe moment I saw you, I wanted you.\u201d Braxton is a billionaire businessman on the alpha-end of the possessive\/protective\/make-her-mine-caveman scale, and while in real life it would probably have most of us running a mile, in the book it\u2019s entertaining, and creates a great dynamic that is fun to watch. Especially because Dakota is strong and feisty, and she has no qualms about calling him out on his stalker-ish behaviour.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re not over.\u201d There are lots of fireworks, all underpinned by the chemistry that has been there from the moment they met. They are both feeling the attraction (and God knows their sexual connection is insane!), but there are obstacles between them, and it takes them a bit to get on the same page. But the flirting and banter along the way \u2013 as well as Braxton\u2019s insistence on making Dakota his – is a lot of fun.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m a man who knows what he wants. And when I find something I want, I go after it until it belongs to me.\u201d I really enjoyed this book. It\u2019s an easy read with low angst and drama, and I enjoyed watching it all unfold. There\u2019s a bit of a mystery that plays out externally to the relationship, but it works well with Braxton\u2019s protective nature and is resolved well by the end of the book. And the love story is gorgeous.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t think I\u2019m falling in love with you.\u201d His eyes stay locked with mine as his thumb glides over my jaw. \u201cI <\/i>am in love with you.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n A highlight of the book for me was Dakota\u2019s relationship with her fabulous brother, Jamie. I loved seeing their closeness and their obvious love for each other, and interestingly, Jamie, is an up-and-coming rockstar, with a band of equally hot bandmates, so I\u2019m anticipating that we\u2019ll get spin-off books for them, and I would be right on board for that series!<\/p>\n This was a great read.
