5 \u201clove heals\u201d stars!<\/strong><\/p>\n

I loved Where the Blame Lies<\/i><\/a>, book one in the Where<\/i><\/a> duet, so I couldn\u2019t wait to start book two, Where the Truth Lives<\/i>. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint. We get more of the much loved characters from before as well as wonderful new characters as we dive back into a world full of murder and mystery. It\u2019s an addictive, thrilling, and unputdownable romantic suspense novel, and I loved it!!<\/p>\n

Where the Truth Lives<\/i> features Liza, the psychologist who finds the first victim in a series of murders, and Reed, the detective on the case. Liza is a survivor. She had a heartbreaking childhood but she is strong and determined to overcome her past. She is smart and wants to be the best psychologist she can be.<\/p>\n

Reed\u2019s own past has shaped him into the man he is. He is the epitome of a good guy. Sweet, kind, loving, loyal, and wonderful, he is everything his biological father wasn\u2019t, and it was easy to fall hard and fast for him.<\/p>\n

It was important to him to be noble, to protect, to rescue, to be a force of good in the world in whatever ways he could. <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Weeks before the murder, Reed and Liza shared a one-night stand that was filled with chemistry and instant attraction. However, despite Reed\u2019s desire for it to become more, it was only a night.<\/p>\n

Unseen sparks igniting in the air. God, it felt <\/i>good. It made him feel <\/i>alive, focused. He hadn\u2019t been pulled to a woman like this in a long time, maybe ever, and he relished the feeling. Let himself fall into it.\u00a0<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Then, the murder happens and Reed and Liza are brought together again, and while the case unfolds, so does a swoony-worthy romance. Their connection is present from the beginning but they take things slow as they learn to trust, grow, hope, and heal both individually and together. They accept each other for all they are and all they have gone through, and offer unconditional support and love. I loved the emotion I felt while their feelings bloomed and I was rooting for them from the start. They fit so well together with their believable chemistry, growing friendship, and the love they find.<\/p>\n

As much as I loved the romance, the story is on point when it comes to being a psychological thriller. It\u2019s original, suspenseful, mysterious, complex, and unpredictable. You don\u2019t know who the killer is and you start to question everyone and every move. Murders start piling up and you have no idea who is in danger as they try to determine how everything fits together. It makes you think outside the box when it comes the mind of a killer, and I loved the twisted nature of the story.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a whole cast of characters and they\u2019re all playing roles for him.\u201d <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The killer is intimidating and scary. The character has a warped mind, and I loved seeing pieces come together as we learn more about the killer. The way the story unfolds kept me guessing until the very end. It\u2019s intense, complicated, and riveting. There are connections you never put together and surprises that will leave your jaw on the floor. And as the ending neared, the suspense ramped up and my heart pounded as I nervously awaited what was to come.<\/p>\n

The ending was so satisfying. It tied everything up wonderfully and I was happy with how things turned out. I loved getting scenes with the characters from Where the Blame Lies<\/i>\u00a0the relationships Reed formed with them.<\/p>\n

Overall, Where the Truth Lives<\/i> checked all the boxes when it comes to a well-written romantic suspense novel, and I loved it!! I definitely recommend it to everyone who enjoys the genre.<\/p>\n
