I loved this book, it was just<\/i> what I needed \u2013 light, fluffy, laugh-out-loud funny, slightly ridiculous and sweetly romantic. This is an angst-free, quick and easy read that left me with a big grin on my face.<\/p>\n

This is the second book in the Bachelors Club<\/i> series, about a group of three friends who form a club and make a bet as to which of them can remain single and unattached the longest.<\/p>\n

Is it childish that we\u2019re doing this? Yes
\nDoes it go against everything our parents taught us about love and relationships? Also yes.
\n<\/i>Do we care? No.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Phillip and Spencer are colleagues forced into cohabiting in Spencer\u2019s office while Phillip\u2019s undergoes renovation. It\u2019s only for a week, but neither of them are happy about it, and though there is an attraction and they are quietly crushing on each other, it reads more like an enemies-to-lovers romance. The bantering and bickering is freaking hilarious, and I couldn\u2019t get enough of these two going at each other over the stupidest things\u2026<\/p>\n

I can <\/i>hear the sound of lead being pressed into the paper with an unnecessarily heavy hand. He\u2019s pressing the pencil so hard the lead actually <\/i>squeaks.
\n\u201cOh my God,\u201d I push out tersely, mostly under my breath, when I simply cannot stand the sound any longer.
\nThe sound stops. \u201c<\/i>What?\u201d
\nIf I were wearing glasses, this is where I would whip them off as I turn to face him, like a defense attorney. \u201cMust you press so hard on your damn pencil? Could it be any louder?\u201d
\n\u201cNow you\u2019re telling me how to write?\u201d He\u2019s disgusted.
\n\u201cNo. I\u2019m telling you it\u2019s obnoxious and asking can you please stop pushing the pencil into the paper so hard? You\u2019ve probably etched through to the desk.\u201d
\n\u201cYou\u2019re insane.\u201d He shakes his head.
\nI\u2019m insane? Umm\u2026
\n\u201cYour pencil is driving me nuts!\u201d
\n\u201cOh, my pencil is driving you nuts.\u201d It\u2019s a statement, not a question, Phillip\u2019s tone flat and bored.
\n\u201cYes! It\u2019s of<\/i><\/i><\/i>fensive.\u201d
\n\u201cMy pencil is of<\/i>fensive?\u201d
\n\u201cStop repeating everything I say.\u201d
\n\u201cGet over yourself.\u201d Phillip snorts, going back to note-taking, lead squeaking with every stroke. He holds the pencil up and stares at it, as if seeing it for the first time, pleased with it, and himself. \u201cHuh. It really <\/i><\/i><\/i>is loud.\u201d
\nAfter that, he\u2019s louder than before, a sadistic smile on his face that I want to smack right off.
\nHe\u2019s enjoying this, that bastard.<\/i>
\n<\/i><\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But of course things change. The bickering is hotly intermingled with flirting, and when they actually stop sniping at each other, they realise that they enjoy each other\u2019s company. But is the promise of everything they could be worth Phillip losing out with his buddies? And how will Spencer react when she finds out about it all? Will she even give him the time of day?<\/p>\n

It’s a fun, flirty and snarky ride, and I loved Phillip and Spencer\u2019s story. Written in dual POV, I loved their inner monologues as much as I loved their chemistry-filled dynamic. Phillip\u2019s friends are there of course, and Spener\u2019s bff is so freaking funny. It\u2019s all enhanced by the presence of Phillip\u2019s hilarious basset hound, Humphrey, who surprisingly brings a lot to the story.<\/p>\n

This is a really quick read, but I was fully invested, and laughed my way from start to finish. I would have like just a bit more romance, but what we get is sweet and sexy.<\/p>\n

Lots of fun, I loved this one!<\/p>\n
