He was a proper hunk with glorious brown hair, quite tall, and he had these <\/span>arms<\/span><\/i>. Are muscly arms supposed to turn me on? I\u2019m panting just thinking about them.<\/span><\/p>\n Anyway, he told me he\u2019s a professional foosball player. At least, I <\/span>think<\/span><\/i> that\u2019s what he said. The tots can get quite loud near pick-up time.<\/span><\/p>\n YASMINE<\/b>: <\/span>Foosball?<\/span><\/i> What are you on about? Have you gone mad?<\/span><\/p>\n KAT<\/b>: Oh sod off. So what if I like to have a good look at Hot Dog Guy\u2019s arse on my trek home after a hard day\u2019s work? It\u2019s called self-care.<\/span><\/p>\n CANDACE<\/b>: Kat, you\u2019re hopeless. Yasmine, yes\u2014foosball! I suppose it\u2019s a big thing over here in the States? We must investigate and learn everything we can.<\/span><\/p>\n By the way, he\u2019s called Logan.<\/span><\/p>\n Logan + Candace. I think that sounds quite nice! I can hear the wedding bells now. <\/span>Dum dum da-dum.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n YASMINE<\/b>: Oh good grief. I suppose we can do some snooping when I get home. I\u2019ll grab wine on my way.<\/span><\/p>\n KAT<\/b>: I\u2019ll grab hot dogs.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n THE TROUBLE WITH QUARTERBACKS<\/i><\/b> is a hilarious romance about unlikely love found between a British preschool teacher and the professional quarterback who sweeps her off her feet.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n Find\u00a0it on GOODREADS<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n 4.5 stars!<\/strong><\/p>\n Candace is a preschool teacher by day and a waitress by night trying to make ends meet and still send some money home to her parents in England. She has little time to date and no one has caught her eye…until she meets Logan, the uncle of one of her students, and everything changes.<\/p>\n This book is so much fun and it kept a smile on my face from the first page to the last. The story is a unique take on a sports star and opposites attract romance, and I really enjoyed it.<\/p>\n I loved that Candace was an English school teacher in New York City, and I enjoyed her accent and phrases. She\u2019s funny, quirky, awkward, and endearing. I liked her immediately and could totally see myself being friends with her. I wanted her to get her happily ever after and I couldn\u2019t have chosen a better person for her than Logan.<\/p>\n Logan is sweet, sexy, and has a great personality. He is a sports star but he is down to earth and doesn’t let his fame go to his head. He is used to being recognized and it is refreshing that Candace has no idea who he is. He is adorable as he tries to get to know her, and I loved that he is sincere with his feelings and shows Candace his romantic side. He just made me happy.<\/p>\n Logan and Candace are fantastic together. The banter is great and the chemistry is believable. It takes a little bit before they actually get together but when they do they really know how to turn up the heat.<\/p>\n The moment our lips touch, it\u2019s like I\u2019m uncorking a champagne bottle that\u2019s been shaken until the contents are ready to explode. <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n It\u2019s not all sexy times though. I loved the sweet moments and the fact that they really understand one another. I loved watching them fall for each other, flaws and all, and that they knew how to have a good time together.\u00a0There are some ups and downs throughout the book but overall, it\u2019s a lighthearted, feel good read that made me giddy. I loved Logan and Candace, and I loved their story!<\/p>\n I love you and it feels like too much sometimes. I love you to an extreme.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n I have to add that I also loved the secondary characters. Candace\u2019s relationships with Kat and Yasmine are wonderful and the three of them are hilarious together. I desperately want Kat\u2019s story after getting a glimpse into her and Jay\u2019s relationship, as well as Yasmine and Marcus\u2019s story because I just want more from this group of fun friends.
