Oh, wow. After not falling in love with the first book in this duet, Krista and Becca Ritchie brought the romance in this one, giving us a beautiful finish to Willow and Garrison\u2019s story that is full of feels and deeply satisfying.<\/p>\n

Like the first book, this book flicks between past and present \u2013 the past where Willow and Garrison first meet and get together, and the \u2018present\u2019, years later when they are together as a couple and living separately while Willow attends university in London. Again, I wasn\u2019t a fan of this split because it really messes with the flow of the story, but I thought that both of the parts had more depth to them as we explored their relationship in more detail, and that\u2019s what was missing for me from the first book.<\/p>\n

We finally get to see Willow and Garrison actually getting together (which is so freaking sweet), we see them deal with their long distance relationship and find ways to still be together, and we get their long-awaited reunion as they finally get to start living the life together that they\u2019ve dreamed of. It\u2019s all gorgeous, and the romance has a much stronger focus than the first book, which I loved!<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re my girl,\u201d he says. \u201cI\u2019ve got your back. Always.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n

Again, the Core 6 play a big part in the story, and I didn\u2019t mind it so much in this book. I felt in the first one that time with them took away from Willow and Garrison, but because I was getting that romantic development, and the time spent with the Hale\/Cobalt\/Meadows crew was actually a big part of Willow and Garrison\u2019s individual character development, I really enjoyed seeing it. Lo, in particular, is beautifully protective of his little sister, and watching Garrison become a part of the group was really special.<\/p>\n

\u201cConnor, Ryke, and Lo\u2014they protect me all the time. They care about me when they don\u2019t have to. These are three brothers that I\u2019d never trade in, never swap out, and even though we\u2019re not blood related, I know they\u2019re mine.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n

I loved the romance, I loved the character growth, I loved the dynamics, and I loved watching Willow and Garrison finally get their HEA. Of course, we\u2019ve seen them living out their lives together as part of the Like Us<\/i> series, but now having all of the details and seeing how it all unfolded, it makes their part of the group even more meaningful.<\/p>\n

I loved this one. 4.5 stars.<\/p>\n

Like the first book, this one is narrated by Cooper North and Charlotte North, and they do a wonderful job with it. Cooper, in particular, is a great Garrison, and I loved listening to this one.<\/p>\n
