A spin-off novella from the Stage Dive<\/i> series that easily stands alone, this is a fun, sweet and sexy love story featuring rockstar Adam Dillon in a second-chance-romance that stole my heart.<\/p>\n

Adam has achieved phenomenal success with the release of his first album. Unfortunately for his ex-girlfriend, Jill, that album is full of hate songs about how she callously broke his heart. Jill has been able to deal with the constant reminders of her own heartbreak, but his latest move pushes her too far, and she tracks him down to resolve things once and for all.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a great set-up, and I was so excited to see how it was all going to play out. It\u2019s funny, feisty and dramatic as these two ex-lovers reunite and hash out their issues, and it doesn\u2019t take too long for raw feelings to explode.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow fucking dare you? You wrote a whole damn album telling the world how you felt when you couldn\u2019t even tell me. Not once. Not even once did you tell me how you felt about me.\u201d
\n\u201cYou kicked me out.\u201d
\n\u201cYou took me for granted.\u201d
\n\u201cYou blocked my number.\u201d
\n\u201cYou behaved like an emotionally repressed immature asshole, and I didn\u2019t want to talk to you.\u201d I slammed my hands against his chest. \u201cSo there,\u201d I yelled like a reasonable adult.

OMG, the chemistry is electric! Even in such a short read, Scott creates such a wonderful dynamic between these two, and all of that passion and intensity delivers seriously steamy sexy time as they figure out where they are at and what they want.<\/p>\n

\u201cBreak my heart again, Jill.\u201d His sweet sexy smile made my heart hurt. Damn the man. \u201cC\u2019mon. I dare you.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The rest of the Stage Dive crew appear, and we get to spend a little bit of time with them. I loved seeing them all together and catching up on developments in their stories. It makes me keen for a series reread, I love them all so much!!<\/p>\n

This is a really fun novella with a great story, a lot of heart, and a super satisfying HEA.<\/p>\n

\nthe slick black suit stared down at me. He had a point. I\u2019d pushed through a crush of fans, getting my toes stomped on several times, along with taking an elbow to the kidney, just to talk to this guy. God only knew what it took to get near the star of the show.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d imagine a lot,\u201d I yelled back at him. Necessary given the volume of the music filling the space. \u201cThe difference here is I\u2019m not lying.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adam Dillon, rock star extraordinaire, gyrated his slim denim-clad hips like an Alt-Rock Elvis on the nearby stage. He pouted and crooned about the woman who\u2019d done him wrong. Me. That\u2019s right, I was the big bad ex who\u2019d broken him and woke him to the dangers of love. Or so the song said.<\/p>\n

The song lied and then some.<\/p>\n

According to the lyrics he was currently wailing, I\u2019d ground his heart beneath my five-inch heels before blowing him a kiss goodbye. From memory, there\u2019d been a lot of shouting, but no blowing of kisses. And having just kicked off the flats I wore for work, I\u2019d been barefoot, my legs and back aching. No way had I been strutting around in\u00a0stilettos. Home from a hard day at the hair salon, I\u2019d returned to find Adam on the couch. The same place he\u2019d been when I\u2019d left for work approximately eleven hours earlier. The same place he\u2019d been for what felt like months as I worked my ass off to pay the rent. That\u2019s when all hell broke loose. However, it wasn\u2019t the only issue that had caused our relationship to bomb. Nothing\u2019s ever simple.<\/p>\n

But back to the here and now. I grabbed the slip of paper out of my front pocket, holding it up for his perusal. \u201cMy name is Jill Schwartz. How many of those people
\nclaiming to know him have one of these?\u201d<\/p>\n

His eyes widened as he scanned the name on the check, before widening again at the amount. And fair enough too. I\u2019d had a mild panic attack myself when it had first arrived. When Adam decided to make a statement, he didn\u2019t bother with subtle. If only I could figure out what it all meant. If it meant anything at all, of course. And that question was what had brought me here tonight.<\/p>\n
