This is a short story that follows on from the phenomenal Kiss of Vengeance<\/a>, and leads into the next book in the Immortal Fate<\/i> series, Bound by Forever<\/em>.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s written from the POVs of Fionn and Rose as they search for immortal vampire, Kiyo, to ask for his help in protecting fae-in-danger, Niamh. Kiyo and Niamh are the main characters of Bound by Forever<\/i>, so it\u2019s a great introduction to their story \u2013 particularly to Kiyo as a character.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought you two liked each other,\u201d she huffed.
\n\u201cI have no patience for mate-whipped males,\u201d Kiyo sneered.
\n\u201cAnd I have no patience for dogs that disrespect me.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But best of all, this book allows us to revisit with Fionn and Rose and all of their awesomeness as they flirt, banter, kick ass and sex it up. I just love this couple, and was thrilled to be back with them, and seeing them all loved up, mated and completely devoted to each other was fantastic.<\/p>\n

As if Fionn could feel Rose\u2019s mounting impatience, he suddenly let go of an almighty roar, pulled back his knee toward his chest, and then punched it out, foot planted on Kiyo\u2019s gut.
\nThe wolf soared into the crowd, taking down a few supes with him like bowling pins.
\nSilence fell across the warehouse.
\nRose felt more than a tingle of heat between her thighs as Fionn cut her a dark, satisfied look. His nostrils flared at her expression. He knew all of Rose\u2019s looks, just as she knew all his.
\nShe shivered.
\nApparently, they were going to have another very exhausting night in bed when this was over.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This definitely isn\u2019t a standalone, but Young has provided great background for those who may be a little shady on details from the last book, and I\u2019m feeling all excited and keyed-up to dive into Kiyo and Niam\u2019s story.<\/p>\n

This short was originally published in the Tempted by Fae: A Midnight Coven Anthology<\/i>, and is now available for free on the author\u2019s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I loved it so much!<\/p>\n
