I love the friends-to-lovers trope and couldn\u2019t wait to get my hands on The Fourth Time Charm<\/i>, especially because it has the whole forbidden romance thing going on, too. It was fun, fresh, and an adorable college romance, and a nice addition to the Fulton U<\/i><\/a> series.<\/p>\n

Marisa and LJ have been friends forever and they share a special bond. Through the years they tried to shift to more, yet each time something stops that shift in its tracks. After failing to become more after the first three kisses, is it possible the fourth time\u2019s a charm?!<\/p>\n

You can tell immediately that there is a spark between Marisa and LJ, and not just because they are good friends. I felt their connection. Their friendship is believable and I could tell they really mean everything to each other. Both have their own insecurities that shape the way they are and they both accept the other completely.<\/p>\n

Sometimes it felt like I could disappear and no one would really care. It felt like I was a temporary fixture in someone’s life until they moved on. But with LJ I felt like I mattered – always.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I loved seeing these two finally get together. They are so fun and I knew that their awesome friendship could be better if they took the next step. It\u2019s a sort of a slow burn romance because it takes some time for them to actually make a move and when they do, it\u2019s electric. But Marisa is the coach\u2019s daughter and off limits, so keeping it on the down low seems like the best idea. There are complications both with coming out as a couple as well as keeping it to themselves and they have a lot to work through if they are going to get their happily-ever-after.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a decent amount of back and forth and it was a bit frustrating at times; however, when they finally commit, it\u2019s perfect. The heat, the heart, and the humor were great, and I enjoyed finally getting Marisa and LJ\u2019s story after meeting them in The Third Best Thing.<\/i><\/p>\n
